    • @eby6114
      @eby6114 Před měsícem

      Are you looking for heat or cold? If it's heat sounds like your electric pump isn't working but when the engine is on a mechanical pump is moving water. If it's cold your looking for let me know

    • @eby6114
      @eby6114 Před měsícem

      Yeah I think your right that the actuator door motor is probably stuck. It's not an uncommon problem. You can try to access it and free it up manually. With the engine not running coolant isn't circulated, door is still open. When the motor runs circulating the coolant then you can feel it. For temporary you might manually open/close the door with a lawnmower throttle control cable for like 10 bucks or so. Whatever works best for your situation. Amazon has some nice looking ones. Not sure what an actuator motor cost. I just priced a idle control bearing parts for 267.00 before tax. I decided to just replace the bearing for 50.00 why are people so greedy these days

    • @eby6114
      @eby6114 Před měsícem

      @@alphaomega7868 I believe it's behind the climate control module...the heat AC controls. It's attached to the air tubes. AC compressor work off electric motor not engine motor. You wouldn't want to mess with that anyway. I know some people take apart the flap motor lube it and all is well. You might climb into the floorboard with the car on and change the hot cold mechanism to see if you can hear the mechanical noise of it to pin point it's location. It should take much effort to remove the cover of the climate heater AC cover lower dash area.

    This is a really cool video explaining lots of details. However, I'm trying to get my head around how all the numbers fit into the big picture - from what I can see in the video, you used 32650 Lifepo4 Batteries, which are typically 6Ah and 1C/3C continues charge/discharge (the best examples I've seen were rated to 5C discharge), so 2P70S would give us 12A charge and 36A discharge. I know that you can actually push them to 6C charge / 30C discharge, but when it happens, the batteries heat up a lot and the capacity degrades dramatically. Logging the current from the original toyota battery, I saw peaks as high as 160ish amps (lexus rx400h, the same thing actually as the Prius' battery, just the configuration is 8s, when the Prius' cell is 6s) during braking. I'm curious how the battery capacity is doing after 10k miles, 20k miles?

    Ive got the 2008 Toyota Prius Model and my Simple Licenses plate light replacement almost turned into a Job like this. Word of warning if you decide to take this to a Auto parts store and ask them to install it for you Make it easy on them and remove the panels and have everything ready to go before they work on it. that is what I did. First off I asked the guy for Led License plate Lights after installing them and finding out they did not work we realized I also had a tail Light bulb so I replaced that 47 dollars later the back in of my car is all Led I made it maybe a quarter Mile down the road and my Maintenance Light came on So I pulled over into the Dollar general and the car simply Died would not start up would not do nothing essentially those new lights had required the computer to have to be retrained just be careful when working on anything electrical on these cars make sure you unhook the 12volt battery. for those of you that cant tell im still a little salty about wasting so much time to replace a simple Light Bulb You also might want to get a gromet puller if you haven't invested in one It make this job alot easier and I only broke one clip removing the panels
