    What about us tenants who lived through the scam of the landlords and others in cooperation to stop inspections, and to deny the roof was bad when I had leaks coming in. I left, but rest assured I am seeking fraud charges against these scammers. They robbed the government tax free, and cheated a vfw veteran in the process. My duty meant nothing to them. My ties to the government for free money is how they saw me. Well, I aim to see them in prison for 30 years.

The whole city is full of corrupt dishonest, lazy individuals and it's the reason 800,000 homes have been turned into vacant lots.     Hey there from the UP - Firstly if living in Dtown was an option, I'd be there - I've had a similar experience with my voucher calling diff Housing Auth and asking - Ok, if I came to x how does this work - I get the lecture on porting - maybe they shoudl publish a Sect 8 Voucher QnA booklet - the Home ownership program is equally as silly

    New to the channel, Good information. I have a question when you fill out a section 8 application do you automatically get on a waiting list? I know that it’s a waiting list I have heard. I want to rent. I filled out an application. I hope I think I did, know do they suppose to send you information about available houses that is section 8 property like I thought it’s a waiting list? I’m hoping it’s the right one I filled out.

      @@shirleyjohnson7284 Thx for watching! Apply for Section 8. Then your application is put in a lottery. If they draw you, it can be a few months before you are given your move packet which you need to apply for a house. They have lists at Section 8 of landlords who favor Section 8 but most of my tenants find me on Zillow.

      @@MoniqueBurns I think you missed the main point. I would never want to be a landlord and would never have taken it on by choice. Most renters in the areas the homes I have been responsible were repaired beyond the standard rental and became damaged even by 1 year renters. To have extra rules on top of local codes is insane. God forbid someone has retail space. Renting is a great way to go under in this day and age.

      @@kingjames4886 I’m not sure what you mean. I follow the law and sometimes the law protects me, depending on which judge gets my case or which court so it seems. In circuit court it’s more about contracts, not as subjective. Art thou saying the district court is like the mob?

    Many times sec 8 will try to get the landlord to fix what the tenant damaged or they will abate the payment I give the tenant a bill for the damage if the tenant does not pay the cost I just proceed to evict the tenant sec 8 can abate all they want but the tenant will soon be gone !!

    Well here's a simple solution: Don't rent to the lower classes. Statistically, they cause damage to way greater a degree, than the higher classes. So, if it means saying piss on Section 8, then so be it. I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where many landlords won't rent to Native Indians. The reason why, is because statistically, they are infamous for causing damage, etc. Admittedly, it's technically discrimination, but the statistics will bear that out. I've known owners who, as soon as they realize it's a Native Indian person calling about a place, will either immediately hang up on them, or lie, saying that the place is taken. I know I'll get a flurry of hate comments from all the bleeding heart liberal types, but reality is what it is (though most are loath to state it).

    @MoniqueBurns My wife Really looks up to you and I hope that you can take this comment with much Love and Respect, because My wife and I really do admire you and like your content and we feel that you could be A really great Mentor and grow your following. I am 29 and I rent out section 8 in Michigan, Detroit included. I Have a BS in Computer Science and Ive been Married for 5 years To my beautiful wife Kate. I respect what you and your Husband are doing. My wife and I work closely together doing real estate. I understand that you don't like conflict my wife is the same way, Meta Analysis, you only even respond to the nice and enabling comments in your feeds:}. You also seem like sometimes you may be a little high strung, over baring, and entitled but all within good intention again my wife in a nut shell. Those are great characteristics for getting a lot done quickly and Multi Tasking, which can be a must in our business of building portfolios and Generational wealth. I do however believe that you are working from a paradigm of schemas built up over time, which is draining you productivity and can feel insulting to others. I know that you have a lot of experience and wisdom and it shows. I know it can be hard to see past that sometimes but I believe that slowing down and remembering that a good teacher is a always going to be a Great Student, and that this is not a race, is really important. Also when dealing with Tenets I like to give them the respect and privacy I would expect in there shoes, Because I have been in their proverbial shoes. My Mother was A single White Woman who raised us 3Kids on 7 mile and Evergreen while she work full time as a principle at my school and we were on welfare until she got married and we were able to save up the money to move to Farmington Hills. I Believe If you come in level headed, professional and firm, proper vetting = Background checks + References, which is a big one with section 8 + interview and that's all you really Need. That girl probably used her Mom as a References who would have told you the same thing you already gleaned from the Background Check and your keen intuition from the Interview. Things it that situation did not really seem to escalate until you started playing the role of an Inspector, which you are not. That entitlement was invasive to the young woman. Her privacy and space are personal. NOW If it was your property and you needed to do I walk through to make sure everything was still up to code and took note of how she was living that's different. I also do feel you are not acting 100 percent ethically and professionally. Rent should be set across the board until it is negotiate with all parties with the same understanding. I Also Understand how busy you are but I think it is important to be true to your word and follow through. If you say you are going to do something tonight than tomorrow isn't good enough, If HUD tells me the rent is coming on the 1st the 2nd is not acceptable. If anything else you have dropped the ball and should take responsibility for it and than adjust appropriately. My Wife is a Gem at keeping Organized so I have to rely on her to keep me accountable in that area. I know you sell your Tenants so I feel that perhaps you have lost touch but I don't think your are doing anyone a bigger disservice in that than yourself. Because you are missing the Gems and lessons in the Journey that make anything we do worth while. I feel that you could be successful as a coach but that you are getting in your own way a little bit, Gen Z would call you a Karen lol I say you are just losing touch and in need of a little self Improvement. You are a good driven Women and you have much to offer but it will be wasted if you don't learn how to connect better with all walks. My wife was turned off by how you handled this and some of the practices you have. I told her that she should Write you, but she doesn't like conflict.
