The fact of the matter is he had a crap first couple months but for the last 2 months is slashing .291/.402/.517 with a multi year track record of consistent success, still in his prime. Plus, he has hit well in T-Mobile albeit in a small sample.

Jays fan, first 2 months of the season he had a sub 1 era. He seemed unbeatable has taken a small step down with injury but expect a bounce back!

What numbers are you looking at that that Jazz makes sense for us? fast? Sure. High energy? Sure. Can he help us? His numbers don't suggest he can. I'm all for Vlad and/or some relievers. Jazz can stay in Tampa though.

I just now found out about the Arozarena trade. I took the day off from baseball and turned off all notifications so I could enjoy the boat and I see on the broadcast that Arozarena is a Mariner. This is crazy.

Should have gotten Varsho from The Blue Jays as well. Our Diamondbacks in the lineup have been good all year. A trifecta of Diamondbacks would have been killer. Nabbing Varsho could do a few things. 1. Get rid of Garver. 2. Given us another LF, 1B & most importantly Catcher. He could've given Cal off days from catching while still keeping Cal in the lineup at DH.

At least they're making moves. They seem to be adding to the MLB club without giving up either key MLB players or top prospects. So why not? They need help at the MLB level and aren't giving up the farm. Now if they were to come in with a blockbuster deal, it'd be more clearly playoffs or bust. But the moves they've made hopefully get them back into contention for the division lead.

Honestly I don’t think one more bat is enough. They need two. My preference is Hoerner and Rooker. If they can swing vladdy only I’d be massively excited. I was thinking that since we are at the Sox it would lineup that we could get Robert but if we got him we’d still need one more bat like hoerner. The reason I’m so high on hoerner is that he is what this team needs more of. Non 3 outcome bats. Guys that don’t strike out and put the ball in play. Jp was that last year but it sadly seems that was a fluke year and what jp has done this year will be slightly below what we can expect going forward.
