Angels Review 0:45
Bye Brant Brown 13:40
Athletics Preview 21:33
A 6-1 homestand was exactly what the doctor ordered for the Seattle Mariners! In the midst of these 7 games the offensive coordinator, Brant Brown, was dismissed from the team. Upon his firing, the Mariners then averaged over 6 runs per game against the Angels. Is the offensive explosion a sign of the Mariners playing a bad team like the Angels or is there hope that the offense can turn around their slow start.

What you guys are forgetting about the luke Raley situation is that he was hit twice that game so he was probably already irritated at the catcher. I’m guessing it boiled over after the slide at home.
That catcher should be called out for that. At this level that shouldn't happen. It wasn't the worst thing you can do on the feild but it shouldn't happen.
On Saturday, I was so sad. I walked all around the stadium, trying to find their value menu churros only to find out that they don’t have them.
Life is cruel like that
Brown was hired to fix the offense. It didn't. How much was that his fault I dunno but the point is that he didn't do what he was hired to do. Or whatever he was doing didn't work. Maybe it worked elsewhere but not here. Best of luck to him in his career.
RIP offensive coordinators in baseball December 2023 - May 2024
Bad take on the Raley play at home. It’s bush league to make another dude slide and possibly get injured. It’s bush league at all levels and in softball as well. I’ve seen people get bitched at a ton of times for exactly that.
I agree with both of you that it was a good decision to pull Brian Woo. We can speculate all we want as to what would’ve happened in the seventh, but we will never know… those are the types of decisions we have to trust our highly paid and seasoned manager and coaches to make.
And in the end it doesn’t really matter, it doesn’t make sense to complain when it didn’t cost us the game. It almost did but we’d be much happier with a healthy Bryan woo and if that’s what it takes for his next few starts to keep him healthy so be it. Better safe then sorry
Great show, boys. I'm loving thus. Go M's
“Because we’re Mariners fans, we need to drink.”
I’ll drink to that. 🍻
They fired him to wake the players up, they're to blame for him getting fired. If they're a top 10 hitting team he wouldn't have lost his job.
We always hit good then take 3 steps back so need to keep it up not willing to fully put it on Brown yet but I have been on the train that Browns approach/coaching was the problem maybe getting pitch count up high to a fault leading to not swinging at stuff right down middle idk we not there will never know but while our guys been sucking there to much evidence also pointing to it was coaching/approach
My anxiety would kill to watch a game in an empty ballpark 😂😂😂
I'll never go into a series expecting a sweep. Obviously they have to win the series but I'm OK with 2-1 and if they get the sweep great
fanbase: we want blake snell!
brian woo consistently going six in 80 pitches and being deliberately pulled to protect his health: no, not like that!
It would be a great thing if the Mariner offense was "fixed", and I can see how the wrong philosophy could have put them into where they are (bad...very bad). I won't declare them as fixed until at least the All Star Game. They need to show me 6 weeks of "fixedness" before I'll make that call.
If anyone wants to see a player struggling with a different philosophy, just look at how inconsistent George Kirby has been this year. Hopefully, we'll see him settle in at some time and become the dominant top of the rotation pitcher that we all think he is.
30:11 It’s hard to want to go through the mess to get food. Especially after seeing how Climate Pledge runs their operation
Can confirm Colton is beautiful too. Colton rules, Joe drools.
Can confirm
The offense been like that for the last 4 years .
Its not new im glad they fire the couch..hope for the best
This kids can't hit a real ace picher they don't score 1 run sometimes 2 runs or 0 runs
They score on a mediocre pichers.not on real pichers
Talking #1 n #2 pichers
So hope change.
The other problem we don't have a real bats like SOTO ARRAEZ AROZARENA RAMIREZ.
TO PROTECT THIS KIDS .
THE RANGERS WON THE WORLD SERIES BECOSE
THEY SPEND ON REAL POWER BATS LIKE SEGER SEMIEN TO PROTECT THE KIDS N WORK S.
WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST STARER S IN MLB.
WE DONT HAVE POWER BATS FOR THE PLYOFFS.
ITS HARD TO FIXER
JULIO TO YOUNG
FRANCE ITS NOT THERE JET
I TRUST MORE CLA RALEIGH
SO.
HOPE FOR THE BEST GO MARINERS.
Go to the game, Joe WTF! You tweakin bro.
are you watching the same games I am??? 90 percent of all innings go without a hit, they score 90 percent of their runs via HR, nothing has changed. These big innings of late have been assisted by PISS poor pitching whom weve made look good meets errors and extended innings. The offense still looks horrible IMO.
Fuck off with your negativity. Fake ass fan.
You must have not watched this series
Huh? 7 of their 19 runs this series was scored via home run no where near 90%. regardless a team can only be good if they only score runs without home runs? That's literally what drives the Yankees, braves, all the "good offense" teams.
I think the most significant part is less strikeouts that’s for sure
Chaos ball, baby boy
Brown was hired for this reason exactky to be the scapegoat to keep the heat off of servais pretty transparent really
DeHart should have been fired!!
@@johns.4699 yep I believe he is the real problem but they hired brown to protect him probably cause he is good friends with scott or jerry I wish we could get a hitting coach that oh I don't know maybe was actually a good mlb hitter
Please hire Adrian Beltre as hitting coach... or Edgar Martinez.
Edgar was their batting coach a few years back. They struggled to hit competently then too.
@@jefffinkbonner9551 I didn't know... Thank you for the information.
Terrible title gentlemen!!
Let’s be real here for a second. Nothing is going to fix this offense this year or the last 20 years. M’s offense has been a problem for quite some time
The title is a question, not a statement. We agree that the firing means nothing, we talked about it in the video
Uh no. The entire lineup is trash. Firing a coach doesn’t fix that.
We just got a dominant sweep and we’re in first place. It’s literally never good enough for “mariner” fans. Fuckin casuals.
@@SeattleMarinerManExactly. Can never keep these casual fans happy.
@@SeattleMarinerMan no, the problem fans are people like you. The bar is so incredibly low for Mariners baseball. You think being in first place in June is “success.” 😂
@@SeattleMarinerMan this garbage baseball isn’t sustainable. This team has no chance of even making the playoffs playing like this. They’re only in first because Houston is off to a slow start so far this year. Houston WILL win this division.
@@EnjoyerofMiserableMarinersBsblwhat’s the point of watching sports if all you do is bitch and moan no matter what the result is. This team is frustrating for sure but acting like this team is doomed is insane.
Nope. The only solution to the Mariners' bad offense is to develop hitters that don't suck balls. They so far haven't managed that except, theoretically, for Julio, though it's so hard to remember why we think he's good. :\
Julio was a good hitter but the more time he has spent in the organization the more it appears that the mariners are breaking him our coaching staff does the opposite of development and teaching
