A 3-6 road trip is much less than ideal but the Mariners finished it on a high note by taking down the Rays 5-2 in the final game. With an off day on Thursday there is lots to get right for this team before taking on the Twins to kick off a tough homestand. Will the Mariners be able to get out of this low point and how will the next turn through the rotation look with Woo's injury looming large?

Why are we talking about adding a starter when the horrific offense is clearly the issue?
Because bad starting pitching is a guaranteed loss with this offense. A good starting pitcher at least gives the crappy offense a chance. You’re not going to add enough bats to outplay Emerson Hancock¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Jimble_Boi Well, knowing the Mariners, they’ll only do one or the other and if I have to choose, we need add another bat to ruin. Hopefully they don’t ruin him, but we know how that goes with the hitting philosophy here.

Julio just NEEDs to be better, this team goes as far as he does which is a lot ofnpressure to put on a 23 year old but hes gotta be mvp level again

If this is 2022 or last year, I wouldn't be mentioning this, and didn't, but this is year 3 at 85 games into the season. Simply not acceptable.
@condlewis He hasn't earned a dime of that big contract yet as he's still on his rookie deal, we all know this isn't julio It's just a rough patch that he's got to work through and I'm certain he will, hopefully soon

Can we ever find a good hitting coach.. on the other end Servais and Dipoto tried, but not enough on how Serv talks to players and Dipoto getting players when you can't find a good hit coach.. also accountability

With the way the M's have been hitting, the M's could go 0 for 6 against the Twins and Orioles ... so a trade is imminent and if past is prologue the two pencil pushers and keyboard hackers, Dipoto and Hollander, will screw it all up... watch and see.

Look I know some people are gonna disagree with this and I'll start by saying first that dipoto has done a great job drafting and developing especially on the pitching side but I do not think he is the guy that can finish the job. The reason I say that is that there is something toxic going on with either the offense he has put together or the approach of the team in general and every offensive player we get struggles when they get here and it's not like a little but they essentially fall off a cliff and so whoever we trade for I don't think will be any different and jerry and Justin seem to not be worried about a competent offense they just don't seem capable of creating a balanced team and consistency on offense and defense is what it will take for postseason success. At this point I have no confidence this regime can help this team offensively something stinks.
