These are really good, my only suggestion would be maybe add some kind of brief overview of what the decks are trying to do, or a strong combo they center around

These decks dish out damage and replenish the hand so quickly after the initial slow turns, wow.

Man, I love the Neo era. Both decks are awesome. The flexibility of the Eeveelutions + Mew to answer evo decks + Dark Porygon 2 to swap stadiums at will. The impervious inflexibility of Steelix powered with defense-buffing Metal Energy. With one more Double Gust or a single coin flip change, the outcome could have been different. What a terrific match! Also, the sportsmanship of reminding the opponent to activate Gold Berry was a sweet cherry on top.

Despite being the most degenerate format, it's amazing how strategic and seemingly fun the PTCG was back in the Gym era. With that as a low point, it only got better for the next decade. Great match & commentary.

"Okay, that was... unexpected" perfectly describes the ending. Mew was the Most Valuable Player of this game, but it was a team effort. Had he been aided by a couple of well-timed PlusPower, there would have been no need for sacrifice, but we will honor the memory of Hitmonchan for softening those Mewtwo.

I watched this video for the second time after playing a couple of games with Absolutions in the EX Block Format, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. More than one surprising tempo swing in this battle.

Is it okay if I make another request? I would enjoy seeing a battle between M Audino EX and Vileplume/"Sammy Box" in the 2016 format. It was one of the semifinals matches of the Masters division of that World Championship, and you haven't featured Vileplume in a video yet, nor have you featured that format in 5 months. I would also enjoy watching Dark Feraligatr fight Crobat if you'd prefer to play Rocket-Legendary Collection, but that seems like a good matchup to save for the premier of Ruby Retro's next video, since both were decks that emerged in the latter half of that format's history.

By the way, I kind of wondered if that music was from the Pokémon Rumble series. I played through the entirety of Pokémon Rumble Blast a few weeks ago and loved the story and the game in general (I ended up saving the world with a trio of Glaceon).

I've been looking forward to seeing "Fluffychomp" featured in a video! I don't remember if I requested a battle between it and Darkrai EX, but I at least contemplated requesting it! Watching two Altaria get Knocked Out at the same time by Night Spear as a result of residual Night Spear bench damage and a Pokémon Catcher was painful, though. I can see why Garchomp/Altaria would be stronger in Legacy, where it has access to Junk Arm for consistency and where Pokémon Catcher functions on a coin flip.

This was a great game. Garchomp/Altaria was one of my favorite decks to play and this brings back good memories

I wonder if the luxray lv x was prized. The right strategy probably would have been to ko the claydoll first and ignore the kingdra to deny them resources long term. With those scoop up wins it may not have mattered I suppose. Fun game either way. Not how I expected it to go

That was a fun battle! Two battles within two days completely makes up for the two week gap between videos! There is something about your Base-Fossil, Base-Rocket and Base-Gym format videos that just feels different from the other videos, and I can't put my finger on what makes them feel special. Now I want to rewatch some of your previous videos for these formats! Come to think of it, I'll probably want to rewatch this one, as I was feeling somewhat absent minded and wish I had focused more of my attention on the video. In some ways Base-Gym feels like a sillier, less dull version of Base-Fossil, and I'm surprised I've never given any of the decks in the format a try. I know it has its problems, but until I try it, I won't know how much I enjoy the format despite those problems.

Those 5 lucky rolls really won the game for the Zapdos player.

I was not sure how this game was going to be close enough to make the cut, but M Manectric EX brought it right down to the wire with the help of Zapdos and its Fighting resistance! I was surprised that the Fighting deck didn't seem to attach an Energy card every turn... the single Energy attacks in that deck may be strong, but being able to use one of the EX's more expensive attacks every now and then wouldn't be amiss. Also, M Manectric EX and Zapdos are both cards I remember fondly from my childhood... the former was my first Mega (Sadly I traded it to my brother, assuming he would hold onto it forever instead of immediately trading it off for some reason), and the latter was the Cracked Ice Holofoil from my third theme deck (Which was also the deck in which I got my first Dratini, a Pokémon whose absence from my collection I felt keenly at the time).

Finally looked up what a Megazord is, and now I'm convinced that someone has to make fan art of an Iron Treads, a Future Paradox Zoroark variant and a Future Paradox Yanmega variant forming a Megazord. Also, I'm curious to know when the next video is coming.

Now "Cramorant V > Naganadel GX UNM" can join "Zacian V > Metagross GX" on the list of Pokémon V that blatantly power crept evolved Pokémon with the same attack, though not quite as extremely.
