I played this game fully and actually obtained all the chaos emeralds, but to be honest it was one of the more easier sonic games I’ve played and even the chaos emeralds weren’t too bad. To add to the difficulty, I would’ve made the team-up combos cost a small amount of rings, like 5-10, but if the player doesn’t have any rings and gets stuck at a section were you need to team up then the team up would be free, this change would be for when you miss a jump and just rely on tails to bring you back up (like you stated) you would still have a slight penalty instead of a free rescue. Also I would up the difficulty on the special stages to gradually increase in difficulty instead of getting smacked in the face by stage 7, I swear I got through special stages 1-6 like a cake walk, then special stage 7 takes my 7 try’s to get the chaos emerald. The gameplay of this game is suprisingly deep like Smash Melee but unlike Melee this game not had many popularity but seen the tournaments made by the comunnity is awesome to see (especially the fights of MysticNoodle and Kos).

This is such an extensive and detailed account of Sonic 3 ans Knuckles, which is my favourite in the original 16 bit series which also has the best soundtrack of the series in my opinion and I don’t believe Brad Buxer’s claims that MJ was unhappy with the sound capabilities of the Mega Drive, but we’ll never know what MJ truly thought.

Honestly, I think the CD voicelines being removed is to stick to the new Modern Sonic canon of Classic Sonic being mute Which is quite possibly the worst excuse of all time but I wouldn't doubt if that is why they did that

It’s funny how most Collection games for most franchises has even less than what’s presented in Origins. The Mario, Castlevania, Contra, Crash Bandicoot, or some of the Mega Man collections don’t have as much as what’s present in Origins. i am actually really a huge fan of marble garden. Its catchy music, is inredible speed, mixed with thoughtful platfrming, creative level gimmiks, and while the level is long, its a blast all the way. Carnivial nights is a cool zone, but also while i'm playing it Im constantly thinking about ice cap and wanting to play that instead.

I think SEGA was looking to do a redemption arc while somehow putting little effort and stuff so they just thought that Sonic Origins could be praised no matter how much they screwed it over because they thought we were naive enough to like a combo of ports of classic games, concept art, something from Headcanon and Tyson Hesse cutscenes all jumbled up into a ball of slop because they have all been proven to work despite not being proven to work without other good stuff. Essentially SEGA just decided to mindlessly throw stuff the fandom likes together like a robot.

I dont think I paid $45 for this, I cannot imagine I did - I have it on the PS4 and basically, I would pay $20 just for S3&K on a console. To me the selling point was actually rereleasing that game.
