Ford Fiesta MK7 1.0EB Timing Belt and Oil Pump Drive Belt
In this video, I show you a general procedure for how to replace a timing belt based on the Ford Fiesta MK7 with a 1.0 EcoBoost engine.
If you are not cleaning up an oil pump you do not need to take the catalytic converter and oil sump off as shown in this video. I had to do it due to a blockage in the oil pump strainer and a lack of engine oil pressure.

Torque details:
- Timing belt tensioner 26 Nm
- Front pulley crankshaft bolt
25 Nm
70 Nm
Torque converter fitted
60 Nm (300Nm without torque converter)
90*
90*

(or just 90* without a torque converter)
- Front engine cover
8mm bolts 5 Nm + 15 Nm
10mm bolts 5 Nm + 90*
13mm bolts 10 Nm, 40 Nm, 70Nm + 90*
- Oil Sump 10 Nm

In this video a very rare coolant leak. One of the coolant pipe rubber o-ring at the bulkhead connection started to leak. Easily I found a replacement o-ring and the car was ready to go within 2 hours. All the best.

Need a answer please. When tightening the crankshaft pulley bolt after 5he torque converter has been installed are the 90 degree stages at the output shaft of 5he torque converter or 90 degree of the input shaft (ratchet end)? Thankyou
5 times 90* through 1:5 torque converter gives you 90* turn on the crankshaft pulley bolt.

Excellent, just what i was looking for. Can i ask doses high pressure fuel pump needs to be removed for head to come off? Also ,whats the torque settings for head bolts. My engine is 1.6tdci ,for engine code t1db. Did you get your cylinder head pressure tested and skimmed. Thank you

Now I don't understand... In other video the guy said that injector that puts out more diesel in the tubes is the one with the problem, and here you say exactly the opposite. Which one is it? 🤔😊
It depends. You need to compare it to other injectors. In this case, the injector shows low overflow, puts too much fuel into the cylinder causing a typical diesel knock sound.

Hallo, erstmal gute arbeit, habe das gleiche bei meinen grand picasso 1,6 hdi gemacht, alles soweit richtig nur springt der nicht an dreht nur. Muss ich den kraftstofffilter vorher füllen ? Gepumpt habe ich es scheint das der kein diesel bekommt hmm
You need to bleed the system, ideally with a vac bleeder.
I have ford tourneo 2018 chineses specs problem with BCM also .I have new BCM And now I cannot find the program to install in the new BCM . Would u help me?
You need to use a Ford FDRS with a full accesss to IMO programing.
i have to say after doing the same exact job on my 1.0 NA fiesta, its not nearly as hard as it first appears id gladly get a couple fiestas to fix my understanding is that using wrong oil degrades the belt to the point the coating wears off and starts sheading bits into the sump glogging the pickup

Why is my crank pulley moving when torqueing the bolt,do i need to have the locking pin in place.
Yes, you need to pin it and use a new friction washer
Found the problem,Crankshaft pulley washer and crank pulley was wet with oil,cleaned with brake cleaner and torqued the correct way.

What size socket did you use to remove the rear mounting bolts?
As I remeber it right, it was torx E14.
You really didnt show how to remove paneling if never done before
Hi. All screws are shown on the video unless your is early production and you need to remove panel around gear lever or at least move it away.

Saved it :-) New belt kit, clean up oil pump. Engine flush, oil + filter.

Did you use an impact wrench to get the bolts off the back of the hub?
I used a long breaker bar.
were you able to access all the T14 bolts from the back with the same long extension? mine are really rusty and having a hard time.
Yes, but also I used the swivel head adapter.
Is the lower oil pressure belt changed at same time
Yes
They should have put a chain in them to begin with.

Hi, you won't be able to program an immobilizer with the Forscan. There is an option to do module installation/configuration but I never tried.
...and in your torque specs you talk about the 'wheel bolts' but you mean the wheel nuts setting correct?

In the real world, you would also change the oil pump drive belt, clean the oil pick up and change the water pump This is a really poor design, if you have one, sell it and buy Japanese, Toyota or Mazda Ford etc are designed by accountants these days, the crankshaft pulley on the ecoboost isn’t even keyed, to save a $ or 2
I always replace oil pump drive belt and clean the oil pick up.

I just use a trolly jack with a block of wood. Much easier simpler and faster.
What size diameter were the cone adapter things you used? As there’s so many kits on the internet want to make sure it has the right size. Thanks
