Watching this back is so depressing, what a horrendous bunch of competitors to represent the country in Eurovision 😑 how did Deuce - I Need You not win this? It was easily the best song of the bunch and the most suitable for Eurovision too. Love City Groove sounds horrendously naff listening back to it now but even then it was still vastly better than the other 6 entries. Watching this makes me wonder how the rest of Europe didn't vote us out of the EU 20 years before we voted ourselves out 😆

I love how they invited Jemini, Daz Sampson and the likes, put them in the "Hall of Shame" in the same show and they all got along with it smilingly. This would have been deemed rude and probably caused some rage in Germany. That's one of things I always adored about the British, that they are able to laugh about themselves. That being said, I think Scooch and Blue were being robbed, but I am so glad that Sam Ryder took away those tired old excuses of "Europe doesn't like us" and "It's all political" and proved that you just need to send a current artist with a good song to fare well at Eurovision.

Conchita taught me without knowing it, how I was limiting myself, through my internalized homophobia etc. I would have never been exposed to your amazing voice, your incredible songs and you. Just a beautiful soul, wonderful humour. Where I felt uncomfortable about your beard and unusual appearance, I'm so grateful that your music inspired me to know about you. What I discovered is a person much younger than who inspired me to write this, hopefully you read this someday. I'm so happy to see young people like you, as you're actions will create such an amazing change. I'm also very sad that I was never privileged enough to have someone like you to understand I've been hiding, for decades. You chose life, while I was scared. You are incredible

I wonder what her favourite part of the show was... could it have been either the music (from Sam Smith, who was the musical guest for the episode, in which Conchita was a musical guest on a later episode in 2014 on Graham Norton,) or could it have been the red chairs (in which I believe the first person Graham flipped on that episode, Conchita couldve found that thing very funny!)
