I can't figure out why my wireless mic will not re-connect automatically back to the camera. I had mine set up correctly for the first day (I'm a newer owner). My mic just keeps blinking blue and will not re-connect automatically. Each time I have to re-pair them if I re-start one of them. Is there some setting I'm missing?

Thanks for your detailed review of the Insta Go3S. I have the Go2 and have used it many times over 3 years, where I mainly use it on the chest pendent or a metallic post in vertical position to record horizontal 16:6 Standard Video - Not Pro Video (as the File sizes are smaller). If I understood your review correctly, it NOT possible to have the Go3S camera in a vertical position to record standard video mode for Horizontal 16:9 Video. Is this correct? Thanks, Adam.

Someone please clearly explain "Settings" < "Power-Off Charging" < "Charge and record". I am having difficulty using an external power block. With a power block attached the X4 records until the internal battery is drained and then shuts off. The external battery pack ends up full, the internal battery is discharged, and the camera turns off. What am I missing?

i was thinking it was the more serious kind of issue, file corruption. i think its actually doing copy and "delete" at the same time. that's why your file created time on the microSD card show the date and time it was "moved over" but rather than actually filling the Go 3 with 0's in the memory cells, its leaving the memory intact but changing the data index to empty and ready for new data. the Go 3 sees it as empty, our PC or phone sees it as empty. it helps to save power and extend lifespan of memory cells. usually software will transfer the metadata of the original file and overwrite the new file's metadata at the destination.

Thank you for mentioning this issue. I'm adding it to my list of issues collected before. The eagerness to release new products can put a lot of pressure on companies (engineers) to the point where they might not fully finalize the testing process. This can lead to products being released with bugs that are then addressed later with firmware updates. In some cases, it feels like companies don't consider the user perspective as much as they should (though this isn't true for all brands, for sure). This is why I'm skeptical about buying new products with a high price tag that might be buggy. Because of that, I usually take my time before making a purchase and look for unbiased reviews from trusted sources (like you). Thanks again!

At 9:38, you say that you set the highest bit rate on both cameras. I have the One RS 1-Inch edition, and don't see a setting for video bit rate. I only see a setting for the resolution and frame rate. Do you assume a higher bit rate by selecting a higher resolution and frame rate, or is there a bit rate setting somewhere in some menu I never looked?

Can you test the range from the cam to the Pod. Suddenly mine doesn't reach far at all and I never get full range meter on the screen even when the camera is right next to the action pod. I've reset and did all trouble shooting. Even reinstalled the new firmware. It is like the Bluetooth has lost range over night and I cannot fix it. 😢

When in doubt buy the bigger one, you can't add later. My x4 is already on 256 GB and it fills very fast

My biggest issue with the X3 is how quickly it overheats, especially on the dashboard of any vehicle. Even in direct sunlight on a fairly warm 70-80 degree day it will shut down. I would expect a camera to operate perfectly fine inside a closed vehicle on a hot summer day without shutting down, even if it meant I couldn’t use the camera’s battery.

Love your channel. Creative idea, but I couldn’t understand what you said, when you looked up at the white camera bubble. Did you say, “…but the 128 gig will hold all my stuff.” I had to listen a few times. Maybe reverb instead of echo. 😊😊 my two cents.

Thanks for unbias review. Seems 3s is much better than normal 3. But I guess I would choose DJI Action 4 anyway :D. I already have DJI Mic2 so can connect it to Action 4 and enjoy better sound quality. Huge improvement in low light. Go3 is just terrible in any shadowy scenario.

Almost bought one today. But after seeing your video, I cancelled my purchase. The fact you cannot turn off the automatic horizontal -to-vertical function made me to abandon my purchase. What were they thinking?

What’s the best solution to have Bluetooth transmission to X3, but still retain internal safety recording on mic AND also have noise canceling feature. Manual and FAQ for DJI Mic 2 indicates internal recording and ENC do not function when transmitting via Bluetooth. Thanks.

Regarding the bag, which isn't waterproof (and that is actually the reason I haven't pushed the button on this one yet)... what if you turned it outside in, as the inside of the bag seems to be a material that would be waterproof/resistant?

Just bought the X4 and initial charge is stuck at 86% using my wall charger. I verified 9V but not taking any current. The camera feels very warm so I am going to unplug and let it cool down. Does it have a charge limiting feature if it gets hot?

I have a delkin v90 and i get the read speed error. Its also a uhs-ll which i read somehwere is incompatible with the x4. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm talking about things like external conditions (low or high temperatures), as well as the camera's age and usage - both of which can reduce the battery life. I just wanted to add these points as additional information to your excellent reviews. Now, for the next video, I'd love for you to focus on a major issue that many users face: switching the frame size from 16:9 to 9:16 (or vice versa) in post-production. This often results in a significant crop that ruins the final video. This seems to be related to the new rectangular sensor design. Could you please do an in-depth test on this topic? Good video, informative. What's the power level being supplied by the charger? Have your tried using a lower powered charger, say a power level that just maintains the current battery level while recording instead of actually charging the battery?

As others have said, thank you for an excellent, well balanced and comprehensive video. I've only ever shot 360s with DLSRs and am wondering about an all in one device and on balance it seems an X4 would be the more feature rich option
