What impresses me about your content is the quality-each video is well-crafted and genuinely informative

Thank you, this helped my decision. I will go with the 128GB! Cheers!

First off as a fellow YT content creator, props to a well done video.
Just got my Go 3S 128GB and mostly using it for, well for two things lol.
But the one I'll talk about openly is my motorcycle rides, and between riding last night and my commute to work this morning and back home again I used almost the entire 128GB of space.
I also hate how slow it is to transfer the data off of it, takes forever so I just ordered the DJI Osmo Action 4 to run on my motorcycle and will use the 3S for the super small POV stuff that I originally got it for.
They totally could have fit a micro SD card in there without sacrificing size, the on board memory is probably the same size on board. But it maybe would have impacted the water resistance, and of course they coudln't be like a cell phone company and charge you a lot extra for a larger capacity relative to SD card cost ($17 for a 128GB SanDisk Extreme lol or ~$40 for a 512GB card)
I would have given up a bit of water resistance for a removable card, this would have allowed faster data transfer, larger capacity, card swapping if needed in the field, etc.
But this camera is still awesome and thats why I got it.

Almost every other Insta360 camera has a card slot behind a tiny waterproof door, and they are waterproof to 10m. Not sure why the GO3/3S should be any different.

@@gwebster65 Yeah just trying to give benefit of the doubt.
Now that I have used the Action 4 a few times.. I honestly maybe could have gotten that instead of the Go 3 S. Its actually the same super tiny size as the Go 3S is when its in the pod.
Wearing it on a helmet or something, the size and weight difference beween the pod and just the camera is not noticable.
The record time, hotswap cards, battery, and quality are all way better on the Action 4.
So that leaves the Go 3S having one job really, creative FOV shots and a few extra mounting optons like the magnetic pendeant just to get a quick shot.
So I'll try to find a way to use it, it is a camera I wanted for a long time.
An example of creative mounting is I have seen it inside the helmet behind the visor with a 3d printed mount.

I've just watched through all of GO 3S videos and they're very helpful! Definitely appreciate it when someone discusses the real pro's & cons of a product!
I picked up a 64GB version by accident (intended to buy the 128 version!).
Returns to Insta360 are to Hong Kong so quite pricey (my first mistake was getting it from them directly rather than a local retailer!).
Do you think that the quick reader would be a convenient way to "bump the memory up" using a memory card or my phone?
The quick reader costs about the same as postage back to Insta360 would cost! Just trying to work out if its even possible to fill the storage with a single charge on the 64GB.

Yes, I would say that the quick-reader will be useful in your situation.

When in doubt buy the bigger one, you can't add later. My x4 is already on 256 GB and it fills very fast

Enjoying your videos but that high pitch whine in the speakers makes me have to skip parts. Other than that keep it up.

I've heard this from others, but it's hard to diagnose when I can't hear it myself. Will try to figure it out. Thanks for the input.

Love your channel. Creative idea, but I couldn’t understand what you said, when you looked up at the white camera bubble. Did you say, “…but the 128 gig will hold all my stuff.” I had to listen a few times.
Maybe reverb instead of echo. 😊😊 my two cents.

I said "will hold a lot more stuff". Guess I still need to work on that. Thanks for watching.
