The Slow Speed Championship Race (Hype Video)
Fake news! We all watched you dominate the lock and lean course. This is the easiest evolution
😂 it’s a different ball game on the road glide when it comes to wheel placement. I’m slowly getting it down!
Great video, thank you. I noticed you doing this anyway, but you didn’t mention in commentary that your left foot should go down just as the bike stops. Throwing your left foot out too early tends to push your body to the opposite side, thereby destabilising the bike and making a smooth stop in a straight line more difficult. I get a real kick at a red light out of smoothly coming to a complete stop on my rear brake and then gently placing my left foot down with the bike dead straight upright. Especially beside a biker who has manhandled his or her bike to a stop with both brakes, and has wobbled to a stop with both feet down and handlebars askew!
@@josephlarmor550 yes exactly! You don’t want to anticipate the stop too early. I always try to get the smoothest stop possible. This is an exercise you can practice EVERY TIME you ride. Appreciate your feedback and thanks for watching!
Great vidio. Still have slow races when waiting for freinds.
Thank you!
Great tips and exercises to practice. Thanks for sharing
@@HDVIBE No problem! Thank you for watching brother!
Great video!
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
My mic stopped working after 2 days of riding in the rain.
I like that front brake rolling finger idea!
Man, as soon as Ben told me about that it made so much sense! It works great. Appreciate you was watching!
Agree 100% with Emergency Braking. when we were doing our course, I would stand at the end and raise my hands simulating an object (vehicle, child animal, etc.) jumping in front of the bike. That way the participants weren't breaking too early at a predetermined point. As always, great job Joe.
@@BootsandJeansRiders thank you very much. Emergency braking is so important. Doesn’t take long to practice either. Appreciate you watching!
Thank you for the advice for us fellow riders. Keep the rubber down!
You’re very welcome. I appreciate you watching!
Great info as always. Thank you. Ride safe
@@Travelin4us no problem at all, thank you! I appreciate you watching!
I started on dirtbikes, makes stuff like this a lot less stressful.
Yes I bet! I would love to train on a dirt bike some time
Awesome video Joe. We don’t always need cones. Any chance we get to practice as helpful? I’ll make sure to share this.
Thank you very much, you hit the nail on the head!
Great tips Joe. I know one of those drills you practice a lot. As I do recall you receiving a championship belt of a slow kind. But I don’t ride and wrench so my memory is not all that good😂😂😂
😂😂😂 appreciate ya! I’ve spent countless hours to make sure I can beat my arch enemy! Thank you for watching!
All the same Rules apply. Each exercise reinforces all the other exercises.
You’ve got that right. Get the basics down, and everything else will get easier. Appreciate you watching and being a member!
Great tips Joe. These exercises can be practiced on any parking lot....and they are simple enough to practice every time you ride
@@RidingandWrenching thank you! I feel like some people think they need cones to practice, so I wanted to bust that myth! Thanks for being a member bro!
What size was the klock works windshield you put on?
I’m not sure what size, it’s my buddy’s bike. It’s most likely a 10” though
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures I have a set of these 12" tab performance bars unfortunately, These bars actually sit like a 14" bar. I have tried a 6.5 inch windshield from Klocs Werks but still doesn't cover the peaks and I also had the same problem I have to pull back the bars to get anything larger than a 6.5 windshield. So I'm guessing an 8.5 should cover the peaks properly.
@ronfriend gotcha. Appreciate the info!
Nice straight forward video. Let the bikes suspension work for you. Good job.
@@80terryh thank you! Appreciate you watching!
As always great stuff man. Nicely done.

Thanks brother. And you know it! Appreciate you being a member!
fantastic video Joe !!! great knowledge being shared here... from personal experience... practice the emergency braking at 55-60 MPH along with the 30-35 MPH
@@leesturgis4841 appreciate that brother. Thank you for being a member!
The only issue with practicing 55-60mph is finding a large enough parking lot or road to do it on. But, I totally agree!
Secure the front straps ”…up above the forks”. I see no compression of the struts in how this was demonstrated and would highly suggest going to the triple tree above in order to compress the struts approximately 50% of travel. Without this, at each bump you have 900 pounds of motorcycle slamming itself against the upper limit of struts travel. I’d rather have the suspension working WITH me to cushion the bike’s ride on the trailer. The ‘Biker Bar’ proprietary system mentioned in Comments shares this problem. In addition, in Comments it is mentioned using the bars as attachment points “…if no other options”. No. Never. Bars are not engineered for that. Bad, bad idea. If front tie downs are secure and forward, holding bike into the chock, one single tie down looped thru the wheel directly rearward is sufficient.
Appreciate your feedback. I don’t compress the forks because then, your straps are flexing and tend to become loose. Everyone has there way of doing things, and this has given me the best results. I have seen the biker bar, and I am really interested in trying one. It looks so simple and easy! Appreciate you watching.
The u go
I just bought one BEFORE I came across your review, good to know that it’s a solid product. I simply ordered it because it looks cool and it adds a little bit of a safety blanket and I didn’t want to wear one of those ugly orange construction 🦺 vests that Harley sells while riding my Low Rider S. Thank you for the review!
No problem, you’re going to love it. I use mine every time I ride. You can never have too many lights! I appreciate you watching!
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures absolutely 👍 thank you 🙏
For the new riders: riding in the rain actually hurts if you start getting fast enough. It's like getting hit by paintball.
Exactly! You don’t think it would hurt, but it definitely does. This is why I prefer a full face helmet. All I have to do is flip down the visor. I appreciate you watching!
5 months of riding and I haven’t died yet because of these videos!!! And that’s why I’m a member of this channel!!!

Bro, that was excellent!!!
Appreciate it brother!
It takes me five minutes to get to work, but over an hour to get home. 🙃
Don’t you hate it when that happens?!?! 😂
expensive junk
I wouldn’t say it’s completely junk, but it’s definitely expensive for what you’re getting!
Bought mine about 25 years ago when it was a catalog only item. Paid $239.00 for it plus shipping. Holds my 2010 Goldwing just fine and it is close to max weight. Add a sheet of 3/4 plywood and it holds my ATV. Just bought the HF larger wheel clamp for it to install tomorrow. 90% of the bike guys on U-tube from every country have them. I wish I owned the company that makes them.🏍
@@budlistar5312 wow, glad to hear yours has been working that long! That’s awesome!
Oh my, good lord! 🤙🏼🔥🔥
😎🤙
I have had trouble with my stops getting sloppy lately. I finally realized I was looking down instead of straight ahead. Much better now. It was unnerving as my new bike is the most stable bike at really low speeds that I have ever owned.
Glad you figured it out. Always look where you want to go! Also, try stopping while you’re still in the friction zone. Your stop will be even more smoother. Appreciate you watching!
Great product, too expensive!
Good work Joe
Thanks brother! I’m starting to get obsessed with the slow ride 😂
very nice my friend !!! i will be there someday... lol
Thanks brother! You just have to practice, you can do it!
You can definetly see the "purple" in the saddle bags. Good thing you bought the pair. Also, I belive that Billiard Blue is a discontinued color with Harley. I believe 2020 was the last. I had a 2019 Heritage in BB&W. Sonic looks good!!!
Thank you! In direct sunlight, you can definitely see the different color. But, my road king is a 2023 so not sure they discontinued it in 2019.
Oh, my gosh!! 🤯
Nothing is a piss off more than a rider buzzing by you close. I don't know if whoever waves back or not. I watch the road instead.
I hear ya! You can pass me, just don’t be rude about it.
You are getting much better at the slow ride. And you were good to start with!
@@Old-n-slo-locked-n-leaned I appreciate that! I still have some work to do though if I want to beat Ben!
There goes my clutch!😢😢😅
Don’t worry, you can replace it 😂
I thought the same thing, @originalzeljko5910 . I believe practicing low-speed operation is paramount. However, I am curious to learn how many times Joe has replaced his clutch since learning.
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures Since you've begun learning slow-speed operation, how many times have you had to replace a clutch?
@Beatrix_Ditto I’ve only replaced one, and that was on my street glide. On the road king, I haven’t replaced it. Sure you’ll get some extra wear, but it’s a wearable component. I’m guessing I’ll get another 2-3yrs out of this clutch.
Was those bags sturdy like the oem, the reason I ask is because I got some bags from advanblack and they're a little flimsy.
They are sturdy. I haven’t had any issues!
What half helmet brand do you use?
Crazy AL’s
Music is unnecessary. I want to hear the engine
I noticed they don't have my color, red line red.
Unfortunately they don’t have it all. However, they do have a lot of different colors.
