I've had the Cardo Freedom rig with the JBL speakers for 2 years and I've been very happy with it. I think people expect too much from these systems. You shouldn't expect it to sound like headphones in your quiet living room would. I get very decent sound plus the ability to communicate with others or take calls. Honestly, when I'm on my bike, it's either music or the road. I don't take calls bc I want to be left alone. The Cardo speakers have been quite nice in my experience. Never tried Sena so I can't comment on them.
Since my Cardo was so old, I'm sure they have majorly improved. I received a Sena with my 23 CVO and I must say I'm impressed! Appreciate you watching and leaving your feedback.
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures Mine is the previous generation. Cardo came out with a new upgraded line last year but I suspect the JBL speakers haven't changed. I'd wager specs are the same.
great review my friend... i HAD "sena" & got ride of it ... (i got tired of being told how to drive a bike & getting yelled at... lmao) so i just stay with the bike speakers so i can just turn them up... lol

So how well did you hear the bike speakers on the expressway or when revved up, not to mention while wearing a helmet?

Thank you very much! I was using a third party microphone. The microphone on the Syphon is pretty much useless!

On the Cardos if you adjust the speakers in the right part of your ears it sounds great with noise cancellation… when I first had them installed it was offset so I fixed it and no issues
My Cardo was pretty old. They have improved so much since then! I currently have a Sena that came with my CVO Road Glide and it's amazing. I agree, proper placement is key! Appreciate you watching and leaving your feedback.

What would you recommend most for someone who really just wants to listen to music when riding? I don’t really care for the microphone/communications side of it, just want something with good volume and sound quality

Hi. when you talk while riding is that the Syphon microphone you are using ?
No. I am using a DJI wireless mic. The microphone in the syphon is pretty much useless while at speed.
How does this compare to the new cardo pro which are larger 45mm speakers.
I haven’t tried the new one yet, should be getting one soon though. But compared to the Cardo Edge, the edge has better sound in my opinion. Not to mention way more features.
I’ve had cardo packtalk slim/black for 3 years. I don’t think it gets any better for how shallow the drivers are sadly. Pass through earbuds are a must, I recommend earpeace earbuds. Eargasm are good too, they cut down wind noise so you hear music better. It does make the music quieter but overall it’s better.
In my opinion, Cardo is the best hang for your buck. Not to mention the quality is top notch! Appreciate you watching and leaving your feedback!

You've never priced out a real set of headphones or even high end earbuds if you think these are expensive and should come jn a fancy box.
Compared to a Cardo headset, it's expensive for what you get.
That's a true statement. Regardless, I feel like 200 dollars is too much for this luxury.
I can tell you right now that having the mic in the earpeice is a huge mistake, i dont care what type of mic it is it isn't gonna work behind all the padding of a helmet. You might as well buy a good set of in ear monitors if you just want great sound quality.

IDK I would rather save a bit more and get a Cardo I like the voice control and the JBL speakers are LOUD as hell
My Cardo is about 6yrs old, so I'm sure the speakers are louder now!
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures Yeah I got some hearing issues from my time in the infantry and these JBL speakers from the Packtalk Edge will hurt my ears they get so loud!

Don't waste your cash. Mine have played up and are badly muffled. has been a massive hassle to try and get any sort of compensation
$200+tax & it only lasts 10 hours, u can get a sena or cardo that will last longer for cheaper

Sound quality is better on the Cardo in my opinion. Sound quality isn't terrible on the Soundpro, but it's nothing to write home about

I learned about reviews on utub, the gun channels are sent cherry picked g2c to review, I buy one and it's piece of crap...... I've known 3 others that bought the gun about same time I did, theirs also piece of crap, 2 of them put more money into the gun than the price and they ended up with a decent shooting gun......but they couldn't fix the clacking mag with every step, which starts after a couple days of carrying the gun
So here we have professional reviewer GIVEN a cherry picked item to review vs a person that bought the same item off the shelf
Correction: I reached out to them. They DID NOT reach out to me. So no, I was not "cherry picked" to do a review. I gave my honest thoughts about it and found more cons than pros for the product. I am very transparent because I'm not going to ruin my reputation for a free product. I can't speak for other content creators.
