What happens when you give a guy too much time and a lot of tools? You get me - and this CZcams channel. I tackle all kinds of projects, from the practical - to the improbable - and everything in between on my 17-acre rural paradise. Whether its carpentry, electrical, plumbing, metalworking or electronic projects, you name it, I like to do it. I especially enjoy adding mods to my Kubota tractor. Along the way I’ll give honest reviews of some of the tools I use to get the job done.
What Could Possibly Go Wrong? Cutting Down the Patio Dogwood (#199)
Last fall we made a horrifying discovery: our beloved patio dogwood was rotted out and in danger of falling on the patio. We had to do the unthinkable, which was to cut it down. But this wasn't going to be easy.

Is it common for someone to use a red dye in the fluid?
I don’t know how common it is but I have heard of it. Thanks for watching!
I may get into Heaven after all now!!! Did not cuss or even think about cussing!!! First time ever!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had to take a chisel flat tip, of course, and bump the bottom of the filter. There’s some notches there that’ll break that loose. That’s the only way I can remove this filter from factory. I did not replace mine that tight.
Is the hydraulic system in the loader seperate from the fluid you changed? With the loader off, isn't there dirty fluid still in the loader?
Yes and that would be true even if the loader was still attached. The hydraulic fluid would not drain from it. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video…very informative and helpful
Thanks, Paul! Glad you think so!
Your video my have been posted 4 years ago, but the information is new to me. Getting my first tractor this week. A New Holland Workmaster 25. Thanks for the easy explanation of the front loader removal & installation. I know it's going to be helpful. Thanks again. 👍👍
Glad I could help and congrats on becoming a new tractor owner! You can do so much with one and have a LOT of fun too.
Very useful video. I want to soda blast furniture and need a dehumidifier. I think this regulator gizmo might do it. It seems to have a dehumidifier attachment. This looks like a big enough tank to try out some blasting on a small scale. Thank you for the insights. Please do not add ANY music to ANY videos. You will get lots of views if you do not.
Martin, please DO NOT ADD ANY MUSIC TO A DIY CHANNEL!!! It hurts my ears and drives me insane. I cannot focus with voice and music competing with each other. Truly infuriating and stressful for viewers. NEVER EVER ADD MUSIC.
Would it be a bad idea to put used oil in the tires?
Environmentally, yes if you have a leak. Also, oil is lighter than water so you don’t get as much weight for the volume. Not sure if the oil is in anyway harmful to the tire rubber over time. Thanks for watching!
I have a Kubota LX2610 and I cannot turn the pto even with a wrench. That would be a disadvantage with the set screws an snaprings
Yes it would. You’d need there newer HD version which just slips on with a locking collar. Thanks for watching!
@@DIYMyWay Their site says, Not compatible with the models below. Kubota B, BX & LX Series Thanks
Rapidly becoming addicted to your channel. Recently bought a new L2502 w/backhoe and this is on my list of mods. One thing….and I don’t know if it’s the same with your machine, but on mine, there are two aux power connectors; one on each rear fender. Could be an easier way to have gotten your power for the valve than running the wire all the way up front.
Glad to hear it! You’re gonna have a blast with the backhoe. So much fun to operate! I already used my aux power connector for light bars so I ran a new power feed instead. Thanks for watching!
Just had my Kioti tractor delivered yesterday. My dealer didn’t have one of these or I would’ve purchased with the tractor. Just got on the Bxpanded website and noticed they’ve gone up $50 since you made this video. 😡 Owell, like everything else, inflation has caused a rise in all costs. I’m still gonna order! Thanks for the video.
Congrats on your new tractor! Kiotis are well-made, reliable tractors. Yep, I would expect the price to be higher since it’s been a few years since I made the video. BTW, I still love my Piranha tooth bar. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Thank you so much sir
Most welcome! Thanks for watching!

Hi Bill! All is well. I just decided to stop making videos for a while to focus on other projects. Glad you find my videos helpful!
I bought it today!!! Thank you so much!!
Thanks for your video. It was a big help in planning my purchase. I'd like to get the binders as well but am not sure what size you are using in the video. I figure the chain can be less than 6 ft. Thanks, Joe Kampa
first time here and it could be the best video made that I have come across for great info
😅😅 love the glove and bucket color coordination statement! (Maybe that's why most of my luck is bad?)

If i may suggest next time welding something that preheat it with a torch it take the moisture out of the metal and aids in better penatration. Hope it holds up good day.
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes it is still rock solid and last year I really put it to the test digging out a massive boulder that was really too big for my backhoe . Broke a tooth on the bucket but the quick connector held up fine. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your time, sir. my first Kubota L3301 HST just hit 50 hours and I learned a lot from your video!
4800 watts for electrical heat. My Lawd, Americans need to discover reverse cycle air conditioning.
Rear hydraulics, top-n-tilt and quick-hitch 👍
I am in karnataka india, I bull back co, I need that mechanism 10:47
How much will be rated?
I have the same compressor. I have found that they used high temp red locktite (450 degrees) on some of the fittings. A torch or heat gun can save you from breaking your tools. Great tip on using the side port for access to more unrestricted air.
Just a heads up but the 6mm hex head has a thread locker of some sort. *Empty tank*. I used damp washcloth or rag(NOT WET OR DRIPPING) and a piece of foil to cover all area except the bolt then using a pocket sized torch with a very small flame heated it up. Didnt get super hot but just enough to be overly warm and kept it that way with short heat blasts for about 1- 2 mins. 6mm brought it out with ease. Be careful tho cus lots of things can melt that you would rather stay solid. Good luck.
Weaver compact tractor now carries a leveling box for l2501 Kubota
Thanks for the info!
Why not use wedge? Or just poor water in during freezing weather
This is an excellent, and very clear video on the scaffolding. In Canada they are sold at Canadian Tire. Metal Tech would do well to provide a link to your video to Canadian Tire as you have explained every step very well. I am thinking about getting one and you have certainly clarified the steps to me.
Just bought one... This is the best install video to be found... Thanks...
i see you have a rigid canopy now. What caused the death of your umbrella canopy?
It didn’t die and I still have it. I was offered this rigid canopy sold by Tractor Addons and it’s been a great upgrade. I made a product review video about it which you can find in my product review playlist. Thanks for watching!
Great product but very pricey.
What is your opinion now that you have had the pto link for a year? Thanks for the video.
I like it and I am using right now with my rotary cutter. Thanks for watching!
We moved to a new home recently. I'm in the process of installing a LG 18000 BTU, 1000sq ft with AC/heater/WiFi 230V in the 3 car garage around 560sq ft. A little over kill but the AC shouldn't have to work that hard to keep the garage cool, the walls are insulated and some of the garage door panels have insulation that I'm going to finish insulating the garage doors (3 of them). I paid about $300 for this new AC legally, long story. I can't wait to see if this bigger unit will do. You need to have the back of the AC about 1/2 in. lower than the front for water drainage, the install instructions leave a lot to be desired as this was mentioned once in a little blurb easily missed. Next is to set up my workshop, I bought a new 3 and 1 welder MIG, TIG, Stick and haven't used it yet but getting closer once garage is finished.
Great work! How much play (gap) is it supposed to be on opening? I am about to do the same in my shop. Thank you.
This attachment has been on my “bucket list” for some time, i just haven’t followed through. Greatly appreciate this review.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video.

One question, I too have the BH77 but it’s attached to a L3200 Kubota. My distance between the stabilizer arms and backhoe bucket is 65.5”. Why would my distance not be 57” as well?
Love this guy!!
I don't use the chains, either. But, I did have the cover get a groove in it from spinning against the trailer hitch. I think the brush hog dipped too low when I went over a hill.
Excellent; thanks.
