Fully 3D Printed Wave Echo Cave - Detailed overview
This was an amazing video , thnx so much for sharing your brain with us. I have a question about cleaning , could you use standard syringe and inject the cleaner inside and repeat a bunch of times? I have a model I would like to hollow out because it would save a ton of resin , does this also cut down on printing time ? If I do it as a solid print it says it would take 33 hours to print it .
¡Gracias!
Really nice work. I use 1 and 2 inch XPS foam for risers to save on the 3d printed risers. It's easy enough to manipulate and lightweight. Impressive workshop. Again, nicely done project!
@@WiscoDice_Conesy thanks!!!
Stop that annoying music which does not bring any information !
This was an amazing lesson. I've been printing filament for years but, resin is a whole new ballgame. I learned a lot. Thank you for the time and effort that you put into this hobby. Now, I will go figure out how to join your group on Discord.
will this work with the saturn 4 ultra's multi exposure times tool on the same plate?
@user-yq3ti2oe2e the v1 cones won't but the v3 cones will! You can grab the pre release files from our discord
@@TableFlipFoundry thanks for the reply, I started the calibration for the first version anyway XD will share what happens when it's done adn then will try the v3
On printers without a tank clean (My photon mono) there is ususally a test pattern option you can just set to expose the whole screen for 15 seconds
Very useful but first attempt at 10s failed to grip the old Support. Tried 2nd time at 10s and same thing. Can I just keep extending the VAT time to 30s until sticks to old support?
@@gkaruk mine defaults to 15
@TableFlipFoundry thanks, I can go 10, 20 or 30s. But had to drain VAT filter resin to little. Remove VAT and gently push FeP up in corner, which lifted enough to grab. Sadly re-level bed, and seem front right corner is off. So need re-level again after dinner
I've been trying to find the easiest way to eliminate supports detected by the Proximity Detector. There is not a function (like with islands) to take you to each problem support in turn. So try this - you may not be able to find the support in error if it's a mini, but you can eliminate it. First, in prepare mode, in the top right corner is an eye with a line through it - Hide All Supports. Click it. Next, from the menu at the top of the screen, select View - Support Visibility - Show only supports in proximity error. Next to the eye you clicked earlier, it should tell you the number of supports you've selected. Even if you can't see them, just hit the Delete key on your keyboard and the problem supports will be removed. Then you can run Island Detection and see if there's anything you need to fix as a result.
Dumb question perhaps. But have you noticed any correlation between how filled up is the build plate and how likely are printing errors to appear? Would you recommend to fill the plate as much as possible or to keep it around 70% or so? Thanks for the wisdom
@davidc3150 I have fully loaded my plate many many times without issue. That said the outter edge of the vat has higher tension on the fep and can definitely contribute to possible failure in some cases
@@TableFlipFoundry thanks for the quick reply
Thank you for your contributions to the community. Your channel is my first stop every time I want to brush up on my support skills.
Amazing work!
Doesnt this take about 40 minutes to print? The flat calibration prints are quicker so you can dial it in faster. Then come back with this calibration print to see if it needs tweaking.
@Labyrnthdom v3 is releasing in a few days. It's 35% faster to print than v1. It has 3x more features. It's also 3x more fun. The flat tests just aren't my cup of tea, but if it works for you, do what works. The goal is to have fun printing.
Buddy, great video, but you really need to consider the music volume... We want to hear you , not the music :)
@antoniostsotras8326 yeah seems a bit loud in this one. I'm not much of an audio engineer. Womp womp
Thank you for that. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
So PTFE lube doesn't do anything? Funny I used it every time I changed my resin on my mono x 6k, and I rarely ever had any failed prints. I stopped using it when I bought the M5s and the M5s pro and now I have much much more failed prints. Meanwhile the Mono x 6k still prints perfectly and I still use the lube on it. Guess Ill stop using it on the 6k and see how the prints come out.
@charlieeverhart6646 the weird thing, I've never used it once, printed what I'd estimate to be, what must he dozens of thousands of hours now across all my printers. So, if you find that you're needing it, you're possibly placing a bandaid on a problem you not solving. This is the best logic I can offer here. That said, I'm also a big advocate for "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." If ptfe lube is working for you. Keep using it. This isn't a contest for who's right, it's all about making prints and having fun and that's all I want for ya. So keep doin it if it's workin.
please make the cones of calibration V2, this thing is unecessarily tall
@knightning3521 you're in luck! We are actually about a week and a half from releasing v3! But if you want an early download we have it as a community beta on our discord. Prepare to have your mind blown though. Https://discord.gg/tableflipfoundry

Hi does the gcode method work with halot mage pro?
@@spyke3575 I'm sorry I don't know. Best you can do is try it out.
@@TableFlipFoundry I've done the slicer method in the mean time. Really cool trick. Thank you. Will try it out and feedback here for future reference
I can’t get the cones to print optimally, other test prints give excellent results and I got excellent quality 3D prints using settings found using those other methods…what am I doing wrong?
Im sorry you're struggling with them. The timing is excellent though! My team and I have been hard at work on the latest version and they are in a community beta on our discord. Swing by and grab v3. We made a ton of reliability improvements but also, the new ones print 35% faster and have 3x more function. So depending on what results you're getting, could be different answers, so its hard to troubleshoot with your comment here. Shoot me an @ on discord with some pics and I'll sort ya out.
where is v3 of the cones of callibration?

OMG! Ty incredible amount of work here. Wow
how can we get the cones of calibration v3? the link on the website doesn't seem to work
@@dvc1867 v3 is in beta on our discord server right now.
this is clever. sadly I have to clean up perfectly after every print. I'd need a cleaning station ;)
Where is PUCK for V3 is it only on your patron?
the link is broken
These are what I run for my business and I love them. I've only had a few issues. The wifi on one of the machines is hit or miss after a few months and the menu screen on 2 of them looks like I hit it with something hard even though I'm always gentle. The biggest issue was a print screen failure after 3 months of legit non-stop printing and Elegoo replaced it free of charge. They're great with warranty claims.
when I want to download the file, this message pop up: "This website has been disabled. If you are the site-owner, please contact Technical Support for further information and assistance."
Hello, at one point i believe you said you encourage people to build their own resin printer? If you could find a way to add the multiple exposure test to other printers. Like the Saturn 4 has, i think it could be lucrative. Im surprised it’s not just code that anyone can use.
I don't believe I ever said I recommend building your own resin printer. They have incredibly difficult features to manufacture. If you want to build your own though, you should check out promethius. It's an open source DIY printer. But still, not for the feint of heart
Also, we have zero control over the boards from chitusystems. Unfortunately there is no way to create this feature. Possibly with a uv tools file with a heavily modified ctb maybe. But that had to be done on a per printer, resin and setting basis. There is no way it can be produced by a single person.
Hi! Any chance you would be willing to let me buy a copy of the digital models so I can print this for my players? I know it's an old upload so you may never see this, but fingers crossed! 🤞🤞
I don't own the models to sell. But I outline all of them in the video. You should be able to still find and buy them all
Does this leave a mark on the bottom of my resin vat?
Stl please
I explained where all of the files came from in the viseo.
I printed out 1/6th model a few years back. Was one of my first prints. One day I was sitting there and her head cracked open and leaked out runny resin. Scared the crap outta me.
Having an issue where the Success side cones aren't all printing, and the fail side are printing. So, I'm getting one side saying over exposure and the other side saying under exposure. What am I doing wrong?
You're not doing anything wrong. Its likely you just have some abnormality in the fep thats causing the issue. That said, we are dangerously close to releasing v3 of the cones with SIGNIFICANT design improvements. You can download them from our discord as a community beta. They print 35% faster and should likely resolve your issue. But also, seems your exposing quite a lot to get fail cones as well so drop exposure a bit. Https://discord.gg/tableflipfoundry
@@TableFlipFoundry damn. Was hoping to avoid having to replace the fep. Aha. I bought the machine second hand. So, makes sense I guess
I am very new to 3D printing. Does this also work on the Mars 3 pro?
You'd have to see if you have a vat clean function on the Mars 3. I'm sure you do
@@TableFlipFoundry it does. Thank you
Thanks!
Oh my gosh!!!!! Thank you so much. You're the first ever to give a super thanx on youtube!!!!
Ive watched parts of this a couple of times, but this time i got to see it start to finish. Incredible information un an easy to understand way. I look forward to getting Lychee. Please more of these videos please! 😊
I promise I'll go back to making classes soon! I've been working on v3 of the cones of Calibration with my team and we are so close to launch
@TableFlipFoundry Well that is another worthy cause. :) As soon as I get all 4 of my ninja sushi printing well (scaling and supports), I'll be grabbing the latest cones so I can dial in my first ever resin change. Going to switch from Standard+ to ABS-Like.
After it has drained is it safe to throw away, or should I clean it first?
You should cure it before discarding it.
@@TableFlipFoundry So is leaving it in a curing machine for a few minutes a good option?
You are amazing. spent the past 2 days printing exposure test and not getting the results I expected. took the time to watch this video rather than wasting resin and everything clicked. Please keep up the passing of knowledge. Its helping this hobby grow.
Thanks for taking the time and care to show us this well made guide
My pleasure! Glad you found it helpeful!
When i apply blockers there is no update button? How is that possible
Do you have lychee free maybe?
@@TableFlipFoundry i have the 30 days pro trial maybe bc of that
this is so so so helpful! thank you for the information, i think everyone coming into this hobby should take the time to digest this video while printing and messing around with the calibration piece.
Thanks. The most useful video for beginners that I've seen. Lots to take in. Helped me a lot. Knowledge is power!
I'm a bit long winded. But I really think it's worth the time to put the puzzle pieces together. Thanks for watching.
@TableFlipFoundry It has helped me understand the difference in results between flat exposure test and cones. I think my resin is too brittle for minatures. Still more work to do on this Creality water washable resin, but now I'm sure it isn't my printer that is at fault. Will try a different resin next time!
Really great tutorial !!! Thanks! 👍
I'm about 2 months into this whacky world with my starter Christmas present photon 4k. I've seen these lychee videos, but haven't been interested in diving in too deep with a new slicer when the Anycubic one has worked. This weekend may have changed that. The deeper I get into supports, the more I want to control them. Simple models work fine with the current slicer, but this weekend I ran across a model where I need more control. Might be time to make the next leap.
Have a watch of my presupport class to get some thoughts on the type of control you could put to use :) welcome to the family.
Thank you guys
Eh, as a DM myself I know there's hang ups about certain mechanics of the game but I just got over it. Players are constantly asking how bad an enemy looks and I just started giving them the numbers. I am in the process of 3D printing a dungeon right now and I am just going to make sure hidden areas are pre-built and excluded until found. I don't think the players being able to see the rest of the map that big of a deal.
I just figured it's super easy to say we have a map, and we know the layout...for something of this scale of course. Otherwise we use blockers or separate pieces off table and stuff.
OK so i have an Elegoo Saturn 3 ultra and I tried the Gcode and it flashed like it was going to run then nothing. I thought this printer handled gcode just fine? what am I missing?
It doesn't:(
@@TableFlipFoundry oh no 😭 that's crappy and frustrating:-( I like using G-Code
Wonder how a dungeon would go Playing in the dark and lighting up the dungeon as you go to reveal it.
That'd be a wild experience. You could do it with a projector overhead pointed down maybe.
