I went through something very similar, only I was in my toxic relationship for 22 years and we were married. The only reason I got out of it was because he passed away just a little over 2 years ago. I had been with my husband since I was only 18 years old, and he was 11 years older than me. When I look back on it, he definitely groomed me at such a young and naive age. He was extremely emotionally (and even physically on a few occasions) abusive towards me. He had developed a problem with substance abuse in 2011 and he was a complete and total narcissist. He never wanted to spend any time with me and had absolutely no motivation to ever go anywhere or do anything. We were polar opposites. He was lazier than all get out and had absolutely no problems pissing away entire weekends sleeping or sitting in front of his computer or TV. I, on the other hand, am extremely active, adventurous, and spontaneous. We constantly fought and argued. He never apologized for the way he treated me and would CONSTANTLY gaslight me to try and make be believe that I was the problem. I went into a very deep depression and had essentially given up on having any happiness or quality of life. I felt stuck since we had been together since I was only 18 and I didn't know a life without him. I was too afraid to leave, and I had totally lost myself and my sense of my true identity. My husband was in TERRIBLE health and REFUSED to take care of himself, which is what led to him passing away 2 years ago. Now, for the past year and a half, I've been dating an amazing guy who I am madly in love with. I've never been happier, had more fun, or laughed this much in my entire life. However, my toxic marriage did leave me with a lot of trust issues and fear of abandonment, but I've been gradually overcoming those and becoming more secure in my new, healthy relationship.

Two years ago, I was having a rough time with my ex. I was so upset with him that I wanted to break up. To convince me to stay, he would do anything, even things I hadn't asked for, like writing my assignments. Then, a few months ago, I had knee surgery and was in the hospital, suffering from a spinal headache. At that time, I had to submit an assignment for a suddenly announced task. I requested him to write it for me, but he refused and taunted me, suggesting I ask my classmates for help. However, I am not that close to my classmates because I spent my whole four years, 24/7, with him. That was an extreme red flag; he was supportive verbally but not in reality. I broke up with him yesterday because I couldn't stand it anymore. I am also a one-man girl, and I dreamt of marrying him and having children. To keep it long-lasting, I always chose to forgive him and move on. However, a few days ago, because of him, I had to hurt my parents' feelings. I m regretting doing tht. That’s why I decided to leave and live peacefully.

Yoga, Breathwork (Out Breath being longer 🏂 relieves anxiousness, improves digestion, Heart Rate Vitality; Take a deep Breath In filling up your lungs and stomach too, Keep your hand👋🏼 on your stomach to Feel the Fullness.
