Yes, It's very toxic..people have different ways to handle things...They can still do good and not like hustle for a fixed amount of hours because of circumstances, certain things... Everybody has their own ways and if they think it's going all good and is beneficial to them I don't think one must follow these gurus blindly....All the points raised by you are actually thought provoking...good work Helly

Finally someone said it.. This toxic motivation cultures should be stopped.. Motivational speakers are nothing but sharp businessman fooling gullible teenagers... Although m not generalising all of them.. If you do something you love you will never need motivation trust me.. Also if you really want to take advice follow counsellors pshycologist doctors spiritual healers yogis who not only disect your problems factually, also give you perfect solutions...

Regarding sleep, I've been trying a biphasic sleep cycle, so ~3 hours in late afternoon/early evening (15:00-18:00), then feeling fresh the whole evening, and sleeping again at 23:00 till 03:00.
Waking at 03:00 has been so great, I get sooo much time in the mornings.
Well, this has only been possible due to my college timings, and I know it won't be sustainable once I start working, but damn, has this new method of sleeping really bumped my usefulness for myself.

These quotes are mostly click bait and I don't see any intent in them to help people better work life balance.
There's a self proclaimed "Copywriting guru" (don't want to name him here) who recently wrote that you should give up sleep and stay awake all night to fight and get that client on Fiverr n Upwork. When I argued with him that this would be a toxic routine and affect health, his argument was "Maine ye kiya iska matlab hai ye tried n tested method hai". Honestly I couldn't stop laughing at his "I know it all" attitude. Unfortunately people follow these kind of hustle gurus without researching much.

What works for one/some does not work for everyone. It depends on one's nature, abilities, intellect, circumstances, background, back up, etc..

I do agree that people have different journeys, but IMO that makes them want different things due to which they have different futures then. If they did want something else badly enough, they would've achieved that too, it might be possible that certain things are harder for some people than others, but that only makes a difference in how much they want it. There are stories of people who have created paths in mountains, and they weren't more competent in any way more than an average person, just that they wanted it bad enough

This is a very popular toxic motivation that you should give up all feelings, fun to become 'successful'. At the end of the day we should not forget that we humans are social, emotional creatures, and giving up on feelings for supposed success is not worth it.

Listen stop, Helly you might not know this, he (Garyvee) always talks of long term game, 10-15 yrs but he focuses on cash flow too. Long term game is for hustling, the side hustle but for a regular cash flow to make your dream and business a big one you need to do get a regular cash flow with any small or big work and then at side 10 yrs of hardwork and patience. đŻ
