Then there are the ones where they break their own rules eg getting Tim Vine to do his own thing in a shop or picking on someone to do odd tasks eg getting Josh Widdicombe to count grains of rice.

I think y'all really missed some great actors in the "under 35" set: Dev Patel is amazing in everything he does; Anna Sawai who played Toda Mariko in the recent Shogun remake -- she made that show; Will Poulter is another overlooked talent; John Boyega is always entertaining; and Daniel Radcliff has gone on to do some really fantastic work.

The way spoiler alerts are used nowadays completely ruins their original intention. It used to mean, 'be careful because I'm about to tell you something that may spoil your enjoyment'. Some people will remember the football results including the phrase, 'If you don't want to know the result, look away now' when the match was about to be shown on TV. Some reviews warn readers who haven't caught up that the piece contains spoilers. Nowadays people say,' spoiler alert' and then immediately tell you. That's not a spoiler alert; that's a spoiler. I hate it and everyone who does it.

I'd say the fine distinction between games and sports comes down to whether a competitive activity needs a physical skill? Darts, snooker, golf, bowling, gymnastics, etc = sport. Chess, poker, dominoes, etc = game. If software alone could play it, it's a game.

If Archery and shooting are sports then Darts is a sport too, They are games but I see no problem with snooker and darts being classed as sports

Richard is wrong saying AI has scraped millions of images and films and stolen intellectual property rights. AI doesn't work like that. It is trained by being shown images, as an example. It 'looks' at those images, analyses them to create a digital data set. It can not possibly record or store every image it is trained on. It simply keeps notes (the LLM) which it then references when asked to create a new image. It reduces the likeness of Trump to a few data sets which it then uses to recreate an image of Trump doing whatever the user is asking it to do. Furthermore, every time it creates this image, it will be different. There is no way an artist can argue that AI has "stolen" his work. The AI may copy his style really well, but it will be an original work of art. Ask AI to image the Mona Lisa and everytime, it will be different, never a real reproduction of the painting. As for plagiarism of the written word, AI only goes as far as what UK copyright law refers to as 'fair use', quotations and of course style. You can copy large chunks of published text for any non-commercial use (and most would argue AI currently is not commercial, especially OpenAI/ChatGPT which explicitly say they are not commercial. To quote AI itself (!) "Non-commercial research and private study: You can copy limited extracts of works for non-commercial research or private study. This falls under “fair dealing,” and copying the entire work would not generally be considered fair dealing. Text and data mining for non-commercial research: Researchers can make copies of any copyright material for computational analysis (text and data mining) if they already have lawful access to the work. This exception is for non-commercial research purposes. AI will soon run out of human generated reference data and is already incorporating into its LLMs its own output so it is educating itself now. IMO, it's probably easier to say what isn't a sport rather than what is. I think a sport ISN'T a sport whenever it is judged or scored by some third party scorer(s). On this basis, Tennis or Football are sports, but Ice Skating or Strictly Come Dancing isn't. (Yes the participants of these latter two examples may be indisputably talented people, but they aren't necessarily arbiters of their own success of failure, so it can't be a real sport.)

Murder in Successville was amazing. I absolutely loved that show, gutted there’s no more. The American version is also in Netflix (Murderville) and is also decent. Not quite as good but still worth watching if you like the British version. Not a huge fan of Jamie slang but he seems like he’s always up for a laugh and his episode was superb. It’s at its best when Davis cracks. Sometimes another member of the cast does and that’s also brilliant.

Gotta be honest, I thought Margot Robbie was over 35. That’s not meant as an insult, like I think she looks old or anything, I genuinely just thought she was closer to 40, due to owning production companies etc - just made me think she’d been in the business for much longer than she has. I’m not good at judging ages though. I thought Sophie from the latest series of Taskmaster was in her mid-50s (possibly older). Googled her during the final episode and was surprised to learn she’s 36!! So I’m not the best judge.

Nearly always agree with Marina but saying Tennis isnt a sport is absolutely crazy. Its the forth most popular sport in the world and it takes an insane amount of athleticism and skill to play at a high level. You would clearly define Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray etc as sportsmen so obviously its a sport.
