This was Gerry Anderson's finest hour. But sadly, the World was not READY for a TV Spinoff - and despite the movie being made in colour (UK TV was still black and white in '66) and scope (all TV was in 4:3) after a stellar premiere, the movie BOMBED in the sticks. And after that, it was all downhill for poor Gerry. Lew Grade dumped him. And a messy divorce from Sylvia didn't help. While he has ...

Karen continues to be a gift to the world.
Yeah, don’t be gay about it. I just actually love her ❤😊
She had such a beautiful voice to bad she was taken from us.the carpenters still kick ass
I do actually love her. I dare you to tell me I don’t ❤😂
this one of the best bands just spot on
Un morceau parfait !! Guitaristes magnifiques, organiste sublime, batteur exceptionnel, c'est le pied absolu, et quel rythme !!! insurpassable ....
All these many years later, did the people who saw her live realize her gift? She had the soul of a Mississippi blues singer and the voice of an angel. She always manages to me to silence. Just remarkable.
For Chubs
This video is a class study on the importance of good tambourine playing. It lifts the song to the next level midway thru. Karen's voice was honey, but Richard's arrangements and accompanyment made it soar.
Originaly voice so exotic no electronic effect 😍
That Voice. Perfection on Earth, Gods Lead Singer in Heaven.
I think he is correct.
Siempre❤
All night long....
Steve Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn... LEGENDS.
Zelena kapulica! Jos samo fali mlada janjetina sa raznja!
God! I feel like I was born in the wrong time.
slower tempo than the original, but an interesting arrangement. She can do no wrong IMHO.
The day Karen Carpenter died the world lost an angel.
the epitome of cool
I love this woman, the backing singers sing lower than normal in the harmonies and she ends up backing up the backing singers.
I recognise Frank Muir, but the other guest looks very familiar. Any idea who he is?
Patrick Campbell

@@user-jo2gf4em6b Thank you - of course.
Loved Jeeves and Wooster one of the funniest series aired.
Beautiful will never forget her ,even now her voice gets me deep
Here it is 2024, and I am still lovin' me some Phil Upchurch...and Booker T & the MG's, too, of course. This was the soundtrack of my teenage years, and it still hits me the huge talent here! Mr. Upchurch, if you read this, know you are not forgotten, and never will be. Thank you for the musical joy you have brought my life!
Brilliant
The tone of that tele. Oh wow
Duck Dunn is one of the greatest. As a bassist myself I can tell you, while it sounds simple, it’s incredibly difficult to do what he does. The Spirit, The Drive, The Love, The Verve, all come through.
Al Jackson, Jr. was the greatest drummer to ever walk the earth. After his passing, Booker, Duck, & Cropper had Willie Hall who is so technically perfect, almost machine like & Jackson’s protégée. They played with the powerhouse and versatile Anton Figg and most often played with Steve Potts, whose resume speaks for itself, but also happens to be Al Jackson’s cousin. Just have to pay big respect to Danny Gottlieb here!
So Great! WooF!!
Это огонь!🔥
The camera guy left out the second best player in the band..THE BASS player!!!
All know Cropper and Dunn
Yeah but who's drummin?
Probably my fav song of all time.
Just unmatched quality xx
Not a nice person by all accounts. Massive chip on his shoulder.

“Me colleague” ❤️
Usually when I hear the word “remastered” I’m like yeah whatever, I can’t tell the difference. But this appears to be way better than the original 1971 footage that I’ve been watching for years. I can really tell the difference. Great quality. Especially from 1971.
That Muriel bit killed me
AN ANGEL ON EARTH. GONE TOO SOON. RIP. 🙏🙏🙏❤️🔥⚘️
Anyone know when this performance occurred?
❤❤❤❤
GREAT GUITARIST ...BUT : Un4tunately, most of his first 10 or so lps are 2 commercial easy-listening AOR-radio funk,- NOT serious jazz. Only his 1st.lp, FEELIN BLUE -- Mlst (1969) is good. All the Blue Thumb and JAM stuff is close to elevator-muzak cat. Not familiar w his 90s onw releases. Check out his looong interview on Jake Feinberg ch. 2hrs. An important studio man, howevvuhh ...a rare 1 to catch live, not my luck.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love Booker-t
