Hello! Thank you very much for your recipe! By any chance, would you give us the bronze one, please? It is so cool!
She looks fun
And she’s beautiful and a freak
I'm a huge fan of byron and his painting. However, I got 2 series s brushes which split really quite quickly. I'll stick with Rafael
Words for the almighty algorithm.
It is pleased by your offering of words
Fantastic work
Cheers buddy

best use of this meme right here. you win the internet today .
Timely! I was just looking for a technique for Fabius Biles kilt, cloak etc..
Great stuff, hope you find it helpful. Looking forward to seeing how Fabius turns out
Now, THAT is some neat skin! I'll use this for my zombie boys as well! I would really love to see you tackle the new Skaven ;)
Nice one. It will work well for the zombies, you could even use some purple and green washes for them. Hopefully I'll be able to preorder one.
just one little thing: the cloak consist of different pieces of skin, so why not different skin colours?
They could all be from the same person but mainly to keep the process simple and limit the number of paints
The level of detail you've achieved captures the gruesome and visceral essence of Warhammer. It embodies the grimdark atmosphere of the 40k universe. Going to try it out on my set! Thank you
Thank you very much. I look forward to seeing how yours turn out!
10/10. Very nice contrast!!!!
Thank you buddy
Thank you for this. I really loved the pics on reddit and have been waiting for this video since you mentioned it was coming.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Personally prefer the real.stuff but this is still cool ig
It just tastes better, yk?
That looks so good. I have always wanted to know how to paint flesh that way to use on my necron flayed ones. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you, glad it was helpful. Looking forward to seeing how your necrons turn out!
Great tutorial, what painting handle do you use to hold your minis?
Glad you enjoyed it. I drill some holes in the bottom of the mini and super glue in some 1mm wire then pop it in a cork. There a video about model prep and sub assembly on my channel explaining the process I go through to get my models ready
Nice tutorial James. One thing to also be aware of with OSL is that different objects on the mini will reflect the OSL source in different ways. For example the skin and leather will reflect the OSL as a more diffuse glow while the metal of the sword would reflect a much brighter and sharply defined reflection. I think you're missing a trick by not painting a sharp green edge highlight along the curved tip of the blade since that would really sell the OSL on this particular mini.
Thanks for the comment. I talk about different surfaces and reflection patterns in the video. I had considered adding some green light to the weapon when I started this model but after doing the mock-up the weapon appeared too far from the light source
6:41 - "Given the Fallen a good fisting"...I spat out my coffee.
Best painting tutorial I have seen, you made that look so simple I'm going to try the same now. Please can you show how to mount the mini parts to the rods?
Glad you enjoyed it, looking forward to seeing your results. I follow the build process outline in this video czcams.com/video/18o7Rs203Fc/video.html for most of my models
Thank you for giving me the motivation to paint my rangers!!! Great scheme and thorough walk through.
Glad you enjoyed it, looking forward to seeing how yours turn out!
Amazing tutorial! Do you have plans to release one for the rest of the ork? So happy I found your CZcams channel!
Thank you buddy. I have most of the footage, was there a specific area you were interested in? If it's not enough for a video I can maybe outline the steps
@@jwminiatures kind of the miniature as a whole, at end of the tutorial and showed the ork fully painted, I thought that’s how I want my Kommandos to look!!
This doesn't quite read as a light source, or as cast lighting on the rest of the model. I think the light source needs to higher in value, and it would help if the rest of model was lower in value overall. I think just doing the fist and not the indented glyphs would help too. They all fight each other. Sorry for being critical, this one just doesn't quite work.
It's all down to style and choice. I based the colouring for the model on Illidan from WoW where the fel spells and glyphs tend to be the same colour and it might not be for everyone.
Good basic concepts. I would've toned down the lighting on the arms(if the flames lose intensity at the tips, the light effects are not that intense to begin with, so I would read the flames as having an intense flame around the fist, but the ones snaking up the mandrake's arms are not actively fuelled and shouldn't be burning so brightly. BUT, that's just me and my take).
I treated the ones snaking up the arm as separate flames, so they had an origin/active fuel source too. It's really just down to the interpretation of the sculpt, as I made those brighter the light in those areas had to be brighter
Great tutorial and beautiful paint job!
Thank you buddy glad you enjoyed it
Great effect, and the blue in that NL armor looks SICK! Is there any chance of a tutorial happening??
Thank you buddy. I'll need to look through the footage and see if I have something to use
Can this work on sceryen types of scenery pieces
Yeah it should work on any bases, of any size. You'll just have more room to play around with the patterns
@@jwminiatures to be fair I was meaning scenery like statues or any other stone type scenery sets, like the dwarf statue in AOS
Yeah it will work on those too. It should be the same process and application but you might need to break it up into sections so you can work the paint while its wet
Is the GW paints to make this in the description
Yeah, all listed in the description
Wow that looks fantastic
Thank you mate
A fantastic video thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! If i had to use a single spray, would it be a grey or a white one?
I start from a grey base but you can use either. A white base will give your colours a tiny bit more pop
@@jwminiaturesThanks!
i want to go to there
Quality video. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
What undercoat did you use?
Pretty sure it was just black primer
About to apply this now
Nice one! How did you get on?
@@jwminiatures dude it came out PERFECT. This really upped my model’s look and my skillset
Great stuff, feel free to jump in the discord and share some pics
Really like the color scheme and the way you put visual aids on the screen. I want to tackle this super saturated skin tone but it would be cool to see a few different styles as well. I like the idea of having orks with slightly different complexion all in a single formation.
Thank you buddy, I'm glad you found those helpful. Yeah I was thinking of doing that with the rest of the squad
Waylands games is the way to go
Hey mate! It’s been a while since I’ve checked in! Your channel and your painting are looking great! Bang on! 💪🤓👍
Thank you mate, appreciate it
Very informative video, and fun to watch
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks awesome!
Thank you mate
As a genestealer lover thank you!!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
I love this grimdark most grimdark just look dirty or unrealistic this looks genuine great quality
Thank you mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hi! Thx for content. How much time do u spend painting one miniature as this one?
Glad you enjoyed it. It takes a couple of hours as I have to do all the steps sequentially for the video
Would love to see a full video for this guy, he looks phenomenal mate fantastic work 👏
Scratch that, subscribed to your patreon! 👍
Thank you buddy, appreciate the support!
😂😂😂
Finally some tutorials that dont use 50 paints. And making it less daunting for a starter to try this hobby!
I do try to keep a limited palette, I'm glad you found that helpful.
Anyone tried dry brushing the Harvester Flesh/Screaming Skull step? For me, that's been the longest/hardest step in the process for me. After 20 termagants, I am starting to wonder if I can keep up this pace through my whole army.
I haven't tried it but dry brushing these steps would 100% work. The finish will be slightly different but it will get you close enough in less time
This is exactly how I pictured painting my entire ork army. Glad to see a video on it online. Great advice for transitioning colors, shades, and show differences between thin and thick skin, and also scarring. Great paint job and tutorial. Lots of good advice, can't wait to see more.
Thank you very much. Glad it was exactly what you needed and found it helpful
Waaaaagh!!!
give that like button a slappin' pickle!
