    Look I’m convinced you’re some sort of wizard from the rare discipline of Pigment manipulation. Very excited to give this a crack and attempt to replicate your amazing results

    it looks really nice, this looks really cool for maybe a watery effect from an ocean floor perhaps? thats the vibe i get from it more than marble, imo, but still excited to try it out!

    How many layers of paint did you apply?

    • @jwminiatures
      @jwminiatures  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I built mine up over about 4 or 5 layers but it will vary depending on the paints you use and how pigmented they are so just experiment with and play around until you get an effect you like

    Can this work on sceryen types of scenery pieces

    • @jwminiatures
      @jwminiatures  Před 23 dny

      Yeah it should work on any bases, of any size. You'll just have more room to play around with the patterns

      @@jwminiatures to be fair I was meaning scenery like statues or any other stone type scenery sets, like the dwarf statue in AOS

    • @jwminiatures
      @jwminiatures  Před 23 dny +1

      Yeah it will work on those too. It should be the same process and application but you might need to break it up into sections so you can work the paint while its wet

    How thin are the paints? Like 50 50 water and paint?

    • @jwminiatures
      @jwminiatures  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Probably a bit more towards 60/40 or 70/30. You want the paint to move around freely so I can bleed into the other colours. The ratio will differ depending on the paint and colour

    Looks pretty good as a Jade, but Marble? Sorry, but I think you are way wide of the mark. I've worked with Marble in the past as a Kitchen Fitter and also in the Antique industry.
    I will agree that the baby wipe nonsense is rubbish! You need to use 0000 Steel Wool, this will yield a more realistic Marble. Yes, an Airbrush would give the best results, but you can use either a sponge or a large stencil or dry brush
