    Me at the store buying a pack of baby wipes
    Clerk, smiling: "Oh, man! Are there any news at home?"
    Me: "Well....yes. I'm trying to paint some marble effects"
    Clerk: "...pardon me?"

    Fantastic video. Also a video about trusting the process, because half of the time i thought that you ruined it, only to be proven wrong by a fantastic effect. It is truly surprising how things change in this hobby when they completely dry.

    Hey! Great tutorial. A suggestion about the dust particles and their fixing: Would it be a nice idea to give the base a final varnish coat and apply the pigments just after that so they get stucked?

    • @RobPaintsModels
      @RobPaintsModels  Před 4 lety

      That would work but would probably change the colour of the pigments. Also part of the benefit of using pigments is that they can be removed easily if you don't like them. Applying them over varnish removes this benefit.

    • @traviss3913
      @traviss3913 Před 3 lety

      You could use rattle cans. It doesn't HAVE to be airbrush but you'd of course have more control with an airbrush.
      Also, check out Amazon for some beginner airbrush sets you can get some really basic kits for roughly $100 they have everything you need for starting out/experimenting. That's what I did and eventually upgraded to a nicer airbrush but still use the crappy compressor.
