  • Dive into the cosmic realms of miniature painting with my latest tutorial: "How to Paint: Mars Bases." Whether you command a Warhammer 40K army or lead the charge in Age of Sigmar, this step-by-step guide transforms your tabletop battleground into an otherworldly masterpiece.
Watch as I craft a super-simple iron Earth or Mars-style base, using thick mud and decorative bark, we'll show you how to elevate your miniatures with jaw-dropping textures and heights.
The secret? Magic powder, better known as a palette of pigments! Learn the art of application and blending to create a dusty, dynamic effect that breathes life into your army.
Fast, Effective, and Versatile! In no time at all or even faster if you have a hair dryer, witness your Mars bases come to life. Plus, this method works seamlessly with any color scheme and miniature style. From 30K Marines to epic display pieces, the possibilities are as endless as the cosmos.

The pigment layered up like that gives an amazing finish. Awesome dude!

Cheers mate! It does things in minutes that would take me hours with normal paints. The results never cease to amaze me.

Awsome tutorial! Question: does the pigment binder also "seals" the pigment or is a varnish of some sort needed for this ?

Glad you enjoyed it. The pigment binder should fix everything to base, so there should be no fall out or loose pigments. I've never had any issues handling the bases and moving models around after everything has dried.
