People have to understand that this is not the Bethesda who made Daggerfall and Morrowind. That Bethesda is no more, because the geniuses behind those games have mostly if not entirely left: usurped by Todd Howard's wannabe Steve Jobs ass and his legions of DEIversity hires. This is the Bethesda of Fallout 76 and Star "FKN PRONOUNS!" Fall. They will never, ever be able to make a good game, because those people have never made one before. They're not in this line of work for the love of the art, but for the love of themselves. They can't craft characters, or factions, stakes, worlds, or wonders, because they can't see those things in their minds; the only thing they care about is "sEeInG tHeMsElVeS." This is exactly the case with studios like BioWare, Bungie, the soon to be defunct Rock Steady, and Pixar. 2024 Bethesda is a modern day Ship of Theseus, except the replaced wood is latex from rainbow colored dildos and used condoms.

I think you hit it early in the video. There has to be a mix. Older cowboy guns to 90’s simpler weapons work great with the Fallout aesthetic. Lever action weapons, revolvers, 1911s, early Glocks and AR platform rifles are perfect when it comes to realistic weapons for Fallout. What I don’t like is more modern ACOGs, IR sights, modern foregrips and stuff like that. That doesn’t make sense for the setting for me. I also like the concept of the pipe guns and guns that were inspired by older guns like the F4 assault rifle. Just make them not as ugly and to make sense when it comes to function and form in a post apocalyptic setting based on retro-futurism.

P.S. i completely agree that automatic guns do 2 times less damage per shot makes no sense at all and complete powerlessness of minigun and launchers driven me crazy. P.S.S gund do influence the damage by barrel length and parts quality (pipe rifle ported to .45 could never do the same damage as combat because tolerances which are translated into velocity and the accuracy)

Just started again today, and had to delete and re-download the entire game. So far, in the last 20 minutes, mod menu has "operation cannot be completed" three times, and half my favourites are invisible

Rebecca sear will power holding the shotgun and the recoil just go into the pump to reload the shotgun all by itself. It aint magic it just will power, cyber upgrade and a DnD natrual 20

Opened my save after the update and i was floating in the sky and couldnt use my pip boy

I hate the new update. The performance of the game is in the toilet, with loading screens taking forever and sometimes requiring me to go to windows and back to get the world to load up when leaving a building. With all the hype I wanted to play Fallout 4, but instead I’m playing New Vegas instead (the graphics and gameplay aren’t as good as FO4, but it’s infinitely superior as an actual RGP, and it actually functions without loading screens taking half a minute to load up). I’ll probably have to wait until 2025 for Fallout 4 to actually work, and even then I’m probably being optimistic.

If you're a Bethesda fan and you don't know to go into your steam settings and turn off automatic updates I don't know what rock you've been living under but this has been the case with every game they've ever made every update breaks every mod they gave you a free update for better Fidelity they gave you half of the creation club shit for free and all you had to do was click a steam setting and you could have avoided all of it but here you are complaining about what

i think man-portable miniguns are pretty feasible in fallout, since they could just be powered by fusion cores (assuming fusion cores are more effective in lore than in game)

Sometimes you have to wonder if bethesda is just a giant racket. They take 5 times as long as every other studio to do a 10th of the work and let modders fix it. You'd think Microsoft would eventually send someone over to check on the studio and get them out of the bathroom where they are appareantly fishing for gold in the toilets.

Console peasant here: everything he mentioned for the update about the pc applies to my console as well(xbox series x). All it did was boost the frame rate and give me longer load times. I dont know why the frame rate was so damn low on console by default anyway, even though i have (reportedly) the most powerful console on the market. I never really cared much about frames anyway as long as it's not a damn powerpoint. My main problem with this update is it broke every mod i havent installed. Im sure this is with everyone, but i legit cant open the mod page without it telling me "tHiS oPeRAtiOn cAnNoT bE cOMpLeTeD." I honestly think bethesda hates modders but reluctantly lets them use their software because mods are the only thing keeping people playing the games anymore. I refuse to believe its a coincidence that they broke mods so close to the release of Fallout London.

Coachman doesn't have a trigger...well it's not like it matters as none of the guns have a working one. Seriously, none of the triggers actually move even when they bother to animate the finger pulling the none working trigger

As of Today I can confirm that F4SE, EBN, Retexture, are all working/stable along with 150+ other mods that I have installed. The High FPS Physics Fix allows me to sit at 144fps (manually capped) and cuts my load time in half. Sometimes when I head into downtown Boston I get ~115fps. But overall everything is working great. Props to the mod devs and community for rushing out stability and script fixes for this update better than most AAA studios!
