I was hanging out with Justin at the AMPS Smack Fest event in Miami, Florida and asked him to take this thing for a quick flight. Amazing skills, awesome heli! Powered by Xnova 3215-945 motor and HobbyWing 80A ESC. The 60A is more than enough as we have tested both combinations and they work very well!

RotorLive 2024 Demo on Sunday

Here is my demo from Sunday at RotorLive with the Tron 7.0 Advance and I am not totally happy with my flying. Despite the fact that my hands were very cold and I could not feel the sticks, I should be doing better regardless of my age... so from now on, no more #oldman3D. I can do most of the cool modern maneuvers you see these days, but I can't do them with precision and on the deck, so I choo...

Here are the recommended electronics for the Raw 420 Competition kit. Also, for battery, simply pick any 6S pack that fits in its battery compartment, which is 40x54x135mm. I personally recommend the ManiaX 2600 45C 6s battery pack. Link to official SAB video: czcams.com/video/osL0Tf_BU0o/video.html

Hey Bert, ordered the Gemini, dont fly smack just slow headspeed sport. I will be using ego 4025 1050kv, 5300mah, 13t pinion instead of 16t, 560mm blades, HW 120, what's the lowest head speed i can get with her? I get that the 700's are better for the lower hs but not really an option for me. Looked around and all the vids are hard smack of the "little demon" what an awesome looking/ flying heli. Can't wait to build it. Thanks Bert!
I would say 1500 is the lowest I would try. I know some Tron team pilots have done smooth 3D at 1800, so 1500 should be ok, my only concern is the weight of your battery, but you should be ok to try at 1500 first.
I have the Dnamic on 6S built by my friend at westhobbiesRC. Check out his build series. You can't believe how light the machine is. Super stable with no wobble even at 900 HS. Amazing heli.
Indeed, Jeff West is part of our team (BK Hobbies). I am very familiar with him and his build series.
I really like whats been coming out in the last few years....... including the small helis.... I still love my sab puima on 12s 4525 nova motor with long blades. it rips at 2100 and after 200 flights the smaller parts are taking the abuse........however the motor belt is for concern...
Great video, thank you Bert! I got an M7 from you after seeing this, been wanting one, just finishing the build. Great design, looking forward to flying it!
Thank you for the support Mike! You will love how it flies.
Heck yeah! Thank you Bert for the support!
Thanks 🇬🇧
Looked like Justin was using a 2600mAh battery? Curious cause I’m choosing a battery for mine. Is 2400mAh much different?
The ManiaX 2400 will not fit! Check the battery compartment dimensions at the bottom of this page and compare against the batter you're planing to run: www.bkhobbies.com/products/raw-420-competition Other than that, 200 mah is not going to make a difference flying time wise.
@@BertKammerer the 2600 will fit but the 2400 won’t? You offer both on the website for the 420.
@@1981billiam The 2600 is a 45C pack: www.bkhobbies.com/products/maniax-6s-2600-mah-45c. The 2400 is an 80C pack and much larger: www.bkhobbies.com/products/maniax-6s-2400-mah-80c
Will this work with a Radiomaster Nexus?
Any helicopter can work with any transmitter or FBL system.
best pilot ever
Good god I never knew one could fly those manouvers with a "toy" helicopter - amazing
Nice machine and flight Bert!
can the dnamic airframe take 12S 5000mah lipo?
Impossible to say as it will depend on the lipo. The manual, which can be downloaded on the Tron site has the dimensions. Lipos vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. IMO it would make no sense to run such a big battery as it defeats the purpose of the machine. It would certainly fly for a long time though 😂
@@BertKammerer My logic is Advance would be same class as RAW and Dnamic would be same class as Piuma. Piuma surely does 12S 5000mah. I like light helis that can take masive lipo power
@@henryairconcepts2999 Your view is correct, but the Piuma and the Raw 700 are much more similar than the Dnamic and the Advance, the Dnamic is lighter than the Piuma and also smaller. Not saying it won't fit, but I will check next time I go to the field.
@@BertKammerer that'd be cool if you could post a video of Dnamic on 12s. I'm split between Dnamic and Piuma for my next heli
Is the raw 420 going to stay in production or is this replacing it?
It has been discontinued, but parts support is guaranteed to be available for 10+ years.
@@BertKammererah. Dang no one liked it? I love mine. Thats cool on the parts support though. Is that for all sab helis? I have a Kraken 580 also
@@DetoursRC It is not about like, it has more to do with the direct drive motor being harder to produce I believe plus the competition model is way more efficient.
@@BertKammerer gotcha. Thanks
That auto counter rotation from inverted was insane... I always wondered if it would have enough head speed for it.. So solid
I am of the understanding that the Dnamic uses the 580 frames and beefed up 580 head, with the 700 tail. It is smaller than the Advanced.
Very nice presentation and enjoyable flight to watch.
I'll take whatever you give me !!!!!!
Want to help out the less fortunate ??? I'm disabled and can't afford one, care to donate one ?????
FANTASTIC video, Bert!! SO GLAD you will be carrying these amazing helis in your shop!! Also, check out the M4 Max!! Another fine flying little machine!!
For sure the M4 will come to BK Hobbies too!
Can you comment as to how similar/different the M7 feels to your Advance while flying?
Very different, the Tron has a very direct and "instant" response feel whereas the M7 is a bit more "indirect" in my opinion, very suitable for precision flying, including precision 3D and sport. Reminds me in some ways to the feel of a Logo machine. The Advance is more of a "smack" machine although of course still capable of smooth and precision flying, but the M7 is more "tame" if you will. Very hard to explain unless you try both.
Hi Bert, Will you demonstrate this awesome heli next month in Venlo NL?
Hello! Unfortunately I will not be in Venlo. I have too many commitments this time of the year.
A pleasure to watch you fly this beast at all 3 headspeeds, looking forward to seeing more flights in the future with it Bert!!
Great presentation, Bert!! Very good explanations of all these well designed details! I love your quote: "Where you put it it goes! It's like an arrow!" Thats what a great heli should feel like! Have fun in the upcoming flights!!
I fly Omp 3d planes and they are incredible flyers.
Love that video Bert!
I've been following the Heli closely since I heard they were coming out with one about 9 months ago or so. I've seen several flights of the prototype's and I was very impressed back then. They look much like the prototypes, but I never got to see one canopy off this close up. It looks like it's built EXTREMELY durable, yet fly's like it's very light! I know that has A LOT to do with your skills Bert. Thank you for the closeups!
It is indeed a very nice machine!

I really like what im seeing here. This is great for the hobby. Bravo ! Look at that frame design, main gear beef ! Sick. Im kinda stunned
Thanks Bert! :) The closed caption said "Hey guys, Bur Hammer here" 🤣🤣

Awesome job Bert, glad you are enjoying the M7, cheers Rob
Great presentation! I want one!
Great video Bert, so happy to see you enjoying the M7! Spare parts should be just around the corner, then you can go nuts on the thing 😁
Nice job with the design dude.
@@BertKammerer Thank you, I appreciate it! 🥰
sick flight Bert Kammerer🙂
Thanks for the Video Bert!
Great video! I’m about to build a dynamic!
I'll be looking for it. I built a Dnamic recently. It's a 6S setup & I'm loving it.
Music to my ears!
Can you run 730mm blades on the advance?
Can run up to 720mm. He said it in the video 🤷
@@Eflemmen I know but that extra 10mm
@@sawyerheslep8493 i guess he would have said up to 730mm then?
I don't think so, too long. Even though it might work, it is not recommended. There is zero reason to run such long blades.
great flight!!!!!! Nice helicopter
….and Nitro continues on. Really happy to see manufacturers still investing in and developing awesome helicopters with engines.
Bert you’re awesome!
Just got one of these and brought it out to the Austin Helibash to get it tuned in. What headspeed are you running and are you running the stock 17 tooth pinion and 8.05 ratio? I’m running a 105 not sure if it would be different or not? Thanks!
1980 is perfect for an OS engine with that gear ratio, 105 or 91 are the same in terms of RPM. You have the right gear ratio at 8.05, the perfect RPM to put the motor where the most power is will be about 1950, but I run a bit higher so when I load it, it falls into the power band.
looks identical to gaui nx7 🤷
Not even remotely close.
Nimbus 550 Nitro or Tron Nitro? :D
This is a 90, not a fair comparison.
@@BertKammererIsn't there a nitron 50 too. I think that's more what they were asking
@@HuevosAzules Oh lol. Sorry! They're both great machines, can't go wrong with either way, the Tron 50 is an amazing little heli and so is the Nimbus. I would base that decision on whether you have already an XL Nimbus, if you do, then some of the parts are interchangeable.
Heck yeah! Great job!
Bret what about Guai helicopter
Guai doesn’t exist. If you mean GAUI, they’ve been out and not relevant for years. So no comparison.
@@BertKammerer I can still get parts for my Gaui helicopter from Taiwan
Verry nice flight Bert. Nice machine too. Love nitro
