- Here are the recommended electronics for the Raw 420 Competition kit. Also, for battery, simply pick any 6S pack that fits in its battery compartment, which is 40x54x135mm. I personally recommend the ManiaX 2600 45C 6s battery pack.

Hey Bert, Just got mine built and maidened. It flew awesome. No bobble or wags or anything, man what a great heli. I noticed right away how light it feels in the air and with the egodrift 3220 900kv it accelerates without a hesitation or bog. I have the Raw 420 DD and although it's a great heli, it really is not like this. I couldn't be happier.
Now, one thing that did happen during the build was on the tail bell crank on the top tail pin, when i went to screw it in i heard a pop and it cracked the top. I took the one from my DD heli for now to complete it but that was weird. Also i noticed on the rear of the side frame at the top from page 10, mine has m2.5x8 socket head screws but when i saw yours it has counter sunk screws. I'm guessing mine is one of the first production units because i had the one-way bushing taped to the box.
Over all though fantastic heli and i most definitely recommend.

Egodrift 3220 900kv
Torq servos
HW 60a(moving to 80a because of KY heat)
Pulse 2400
Spirit GT FBL
RT blades
12 degrees of pitch linear running about 1850-1900 rpm in IU1 and 2100 in IU2 :)
Sorry I missed your comment. Glad to hear you're happy with it, indeed feels much lighter than the DD one. As for the counter sunk screws, mine is an actual prototype one, but yours is full production first batch. The only reason why there was an additional one way sleeve outside the box is because SAB realized the incorrect one was included in the kit after they had shipped to us, so we didn't want to go through the process of opening every single kit and resealing them because it would have delayed shipment.

I've never had a Goblin, but the little 420 looks great... very tempting. But I thought the Raw420 was direct drive?
This is a new 420 to be released in a few weeks. There is already a direct drive version of this.

Hello, is the motor: Scorpion HK-3226-900KV compatible with raw 420 competition?
Hi Bert. I have an OG 420 Goblin running Pyro 380/09 motor and HW Platinum 100A ESC. Will I be able to make a direct swap to the Raw Comp? Cheers Lee

Does the kit have servo arms included
No it does not as different servos require different types of arms.
