Heseltine and Gove are hypocrites and back-stabbers. Major and May were in way over their heads, and Boris Johnson and the presenter Michael Portillo both believed their own publicity and were a waste in office.
amazing commentary...needless to say, stunningly scenic...Good work..
Glad you enjoyed it!

Just for once I would like to see a UK show about Spain that IsnÂŽt Andalucia ,Flamenco and the same old cities. No wonder the Brits think that is all there is. That is just one Region. They are all very different and have their own traditions, architecture and Pride, not to mention landscapes.
The Angrez had population in India but the Indian women had worn fabulous silk saris it was great the Indians came outside from India itself it was very wonderful exotic beyond belief one Hindu God falls in love with Beatiuful Indian woman because of her refinement beauty
So the Angrez which means English people came Europe anyway
I just love India the land of my birth because India resplendent country
The Angrez which means English people came to India the missionaries had wanted to the Indians to be Christians it was Lord Krishna Lord Ram Mother Sita why did the Angrez which means English people had contemptuous of the Hindu Civilization few English persons had high regard for the India Civilization it was only the Christians missionaries
Way much better than today's youtubers
Wonderful Jane. I hope you had a lovely time, looks like you did!
Another example of Michael Palin paying a visit somewhere while significant events were taking place. He wasn't kidding when there was (to the local population) the smell of betrayal in Gibraltar. The year he visited, 2002, there were angry protests in Gibraltar about what Tony Blair's British government was proposing, joint sovereignty. An Australian documentary about that time featured sentiment about it from one of the locals, Arthur Ferrari, who we're told lied about his age to stay and man a gun in Gibraltar during WW2, but made his feelings about Tony Blair abundantly clear: "I feel very sorry that Tony Blair has started this thing off (the joint sovereignty negotiations). It hurts, I'll be honest, you don't expect to be stabbed in the back, to put it bluntly. [Upon being asked why it shouldn't just become part of Spain] I'll tell you why, because if it has been good enough for the last 300 years when it was needed, surely you deserve to be left alone and in peace."

Very good video đ we are just back from Australia on holiday and took the Ghan, very nice experience â€
Great đ
This woman should know that Pakistan is not a younger country than India. In fact, in the world, India is the Latin word for the Indus Valley. A valley that is situated only in Pakistan means that throughout history, the word India was attributed to the lands that are called Paksitan today, not Bharat, but of course Hindutwa goons would eat this poor British lady alive if she had spoken truth.
mĂĄs video de maikel portillo de los trenes
The conversation between Mr. Portillo and Lorca's niece was heartbreaking., especially when recalling the painful memories of how his dad was not allowed back into Spain until 1959. Horrific! However, His mom seems to have been totally committed to making sure that her children should all get to know their dad's homeland. Extremely touching. In the end, so many innocent lives were forever destroyed by Spain's unforgivingly cruel civil war. What a beautiful country and yet with such tragic recent history a mere 88 years ago. Thankfully, Spain is an infinitely more open-minded and liberal society nowadays. God bless the Spanish people.
What a disappointment. A well educated urbane man like Michael Portillo promotes animals not being respected in his otherwise entertaining and well-made documentary. Cows, pigs, chicken and one lonely donkey being kept in a traditional Basque stable under the house - cramped and without any daylight and in their dirt. This is most certainly not modern day standard. I feel for those poor creatures.
I know this has nothing to do with the video, but what is the best way to cook poached eggs?
And where is South Africa to day 2024 !!!!
More political/personsal, not the best for travel
Im 36 a native New Yorker from Bensonhurst Brooklyn born and raised đźđčđŻ% listening to the cab driver talk about how all the native New Yorkers were being pushed out by gentrification really made me sad i remember when all that started thats when New York began to lose its soul the ethnic neighborhoods started disappearing etc i really miss old Brooklyn and old NYC but seeing that old social club really put a smile on my face

Itâs nonsensical to say that Pakistan is a much younger country than India. Both countries are 75 years old. Prior to that was the age of the empires that rules over this region. The people of Pakistan have been living in this region for centuries and are way more likely to be the direct descendants of the people of the Indus Valley civilisation than someone living in utter Pradesh or bihar or any of the areas comprising the modern Indian state
