The biggest red flag for me about Siteground is their absolutely false advertising. They say they service world wide, but there's a long list of countries where you cannot create an account with Siteground, including India, New Zealand, UAE, Japan, etc.

I have also lost my more than $13,000 on PayPal. Once i receive payment from my client then paypal start to ask lots of information and after providing that information. They rejected. Plz tell us alternative network.

I was so happy using Redis database along with LS Cache plugin, until yesterday. All of a sudden it began to warn me with a "failed connection" message. My website was working at lightning speed and now they're saying they don't provide any Redis or LS Cache to their customers (even if the module is active and the plugin working). Earlier I had faced an issue with CPU outage and they left my e-commerce 12 days offline as if nothing. I moved from IFastNet hoping that SiteGround would be better. Just got back into freelancing and I've had so much trouble with Paypal already, with just my first commission. They decided to hold my money for over 6 days because "I'm a new seller" and after finally receiving it I now have to wait a week and a half for it to transfer to my bank. This is after they took a $4 USD service charge (I'm Canadian so thats a little bit more from me). I'm terribly sorry you had to go through a much worse experience with them, but I'm glad you shared this. I've already settled on finding something else to use for invoicing and accepting payment. Now I have to wait for them to close my accounts.

OK so for 2 years SiteGround have been raising there prices. In 2 years it's gone up both times 20% so now more than 40% from 2 years ago. Just tried there migration plugin and it failed... it is tricky getting chat online BUT with a few clicks you can get there and they are helpful enough although the first chat today didn't help much and wasted 3h. However it's the pricing I'm concerned about and I think it's time to checkout other. Been looking at totally new workflows like Figma and WebFlow or Framer but these prices add up as it's per site... so I guess I stick to WordPress hosting platforms and Oxygen builder etc. still can use Figma for prototyping etc.

Paypal stressed me out the whole day yesterday. Instead of getting money, I had to spend more because I had to request replacement cards from my banks. After all, they keep giving me this error that they can't link my bank cards to my account. Paypal is abysmal!

Hi Lex! Great video. However when I uploaded the picture into Canva there was no Text button option on the left side in order to drop text on top of the picture. In your video it looks like the Text option button on the left side is automatically there, but it is not. Maybe they changed something?

I'm glad I listened to the entire thing. I know that PayPal has policies against affiliate marketing endeavors. You mentioned you had some other transactions going there. Was affiliate marketing or cryptocurrency one of them? I can vouch that what you are saying is true because this has happened to me before but I was using an affiliate marketing program for my side hustle at the time. They have a policy that doesn't allow it. I ended up speaking with the fraud department and found out they are the ones who review transactions at random. They look for "suspicious activity". If you have Had a break in payment transactions and then suddenly get a crap load of back to back transactions it flags the system for them to "review your account" is what a representative in the fraud department told me. If your account is unverified this will send a flag in the system. Not verified with just email verification through the bank as well. Some people who are getting banned have unverified accounts and they are not telling other people this in their complaints because PayPal is not explaining to them that this is the reason for the ban so the person being banned is unaware that this is why.

You are suggesting to take a screenshot of a website of the kind of business I want to get into and then translate the copy and paste it all together. Isn't there copyright issues if you take screenshots of websites to complete for your (unpaid work) portfolio?
