Literally just had one the other day just offer me a project without inviting me to a job or anything. Just sent like a $2000 offer about SEO for their website. Then in a message, they tell me they'll send me that money on Upwork and then I get to send the like $1600 back or something. Reported right away. Upwork needs to get a better handle on this
Feels like Upwork is slowly transforming into Freelancer...even freelancers are able to scam now and I blame that on having to "buy" connects. All the scammer has to do is just have their victims lend them some money for some cryptocurrency and all of a sudden they have money to buy connects. Ugh.
Hello guys, i want to ask you, what alternative to paypal can i use where people cant just dispute payments and i lose money for work done. just recently a guy disputed a payment and altho i proved to paypal that the guy was lying they still favored him. so now im looking for an alternative, th eonly option i see is direct transactions to my bank account but that wuld be inconvinient.
