Whenever I find such clients that put you with tons of restrictions, I simply move ahead and skip them like they never exist because you can't make such people happy. At the end of the day, you will be getting a negative review. They think that they joust bought the freelancer by paying a few bucks.
Ya, that's usually a good sign that a client will treat you like an employee! Best to steer clear of those.
Congratulations on 12k! I was on Upwork when it was still odesk and didn't really know what I was doing. I just found other freelancers like you who could tell me what to do and how to get clients to respond and stuff like that. A lot of people don't put in any effort to really be professional. Sadly gives some of us freelancers a bad name
I'm always surprised by how bad the talent pool is. Every time I post a job it's like this. It's so simple to stand out from the competition. The sad part for me is that I think most freelancers KNOW what they need to do if they really want to get hired. They're just too lazy to do it. That's why they take shortcuts like using copy/paste proposals. Ugh.

Bro i am a hvac design engineer aec (construction industry) with 6 months of internship experience trying to attract potential clients for freelancing through LinkedIn app by directly messaging them after introducing myself for getting commercial air conditioning design & drafting service projects but clients are mostly looking for people with prior 2-3 yrs of experience so how to earn trust & beat their fear of not thinking about me as value provider along with standing out from market competition ? Is creating a perfect portfolio very important to showcase my work in 2 projects or should i approach in some other manner to convince them ?

Agree about the point last point, people ask $5 fro their services in the profile or the gigs but when you want them a order they ask $100s of for that work.

Hard hitting truth about freelance workers. I am a freelancer from Pakistan. I thought we only have this kind of annoying freelancers here in Pakistan and Asia. but shocked to hear that you also got this type of freelancers on your country too. This type of people can be found anywhere. I also get annoyed sometimes hiring freelancers. Once I post a job on Facebook group and a response I got from a freelancer. You know what was his first line. It's nothing about my job post he simply said "what's your budget" seriously?
I got a proposal like that just this morning! Here is the entire proposal text, "Hi, i need more info about this offer, Thank you!" That's it!! I hire from all countries. Doesn't matter to me where a freelancer is from as long as they can do the job well. I get terrible proposals from people in the United States as often as from places like Pakistan.

Brother, I'm a graphic designer and new to Upwork. I read the job description briefly and also attach a relevant sample of my work. I sent 91 proposals, client view 30, interviewed 9, and 3 hired. Why 60% of clients do not view my proposal?
Probably 60% of your proposals don't highlight you as the best candidate. If there is a better choice, then the client will choose the better choice. So how will you improve what makes you the best choice in the eyes of the client? That's what you have to figure out.

every 10 jobs i apply 6-7 jobs are closed or expired. what is this in your great experience
It usually means that all of the proposals the client looked through sucked so they decided not to hire anyone and they'll repost the job later or solve their problem in some other way.
