actually, mine was permanently suspended, and mine was from the odesk days
I don't have a bad review but I had a long break due to a regular work. the suspension permanently disabled deleting the account. so what should I do?
hey. I've had 2 contracts, and both were closed and refunded after 3 months due to clients taking longer/ changing their mind. now I can't get a single job for 3 months even tho I pay for connects and membership. do you think im shadow banned and it's better to start over? thank you

Thanks, Logan! I got a few more modules recorded this week, but then I got swamped with client work, school work, getting my kid into pre-school, and a bunch of other stuff. Next week is looking busier than this week, but hopefully I'll get some time to record a few more modules and keep progress moving forward. I know people are waiting for it, but I don't want to rush it.

This was very helpful, thanks! I was considering restarting on Upwork since my JSS is bad and I can't seem to get it up to the 90s, but what you said makes so much more sense. Weirdly enough, my reviews are good, it's just the JSS that is lagging, so I do manage to get some gigs from time to time.

Thank you for this video. I was considering doing this but I am unsure, my Upwork account is 1 year old and I only started being active on it recently (I have now time for a side hustle) but I get less invites than when i just joined and i also changed niche from Math tutoring to web scraping, i also heard it s good to restart to have rising talent badge. I am still undecided but your video clarified the TOS part at least.
Upwork constantly changes their algorithms so invitations will naturally fluctuate. You get Rising Talent for meeting the rising talent criteria. Rising Talent doesn't gaurantee invitations. My opinion is it is mostly useless except as a marker of credibility. The best way to pick up clients is to apply to gigs and be able to solve the client's problem really well.

I think I might drop the idea as after thinking about it, I don't have enough patience to redo my profile from scratch (I spent some time on it, on my portfolio projects and everything). How do i start the approval process?
Can someone explain to me why you can only have one account on Upwork? I'm a generalist that's worked for a digital media company so I've done 3D, to video editing, graphic design, and front end development. I don't want to have to pick one and limit myself to one field if that market gets slow. Not everyone can afford to specialize and put all their eggs in one basket. The first time I applied to Upwork I got rejected for listing too many things. Are you really limited to one or two? What happens if I decide down the line that I want to sell a different skillset?

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. But it is definitely possible to open two accounts at the same time. If you were doing this to recover the other account, then you could probably do it to contact Upwork. If you try to bid on work, or add positive feedback to the first account from the second account, both will be banned forever.

It will probably be set to private and you will have no JSS or Top Rated status, but you can still use it.
