Thank you for this video. I have the same setup of a osno action with the cynova adapter and the Saramonic microphone. The first time I used the Saramonic, a video I shot was ruined because of the ticking noise. After that incident, I only used the microphone on the osmo pocket for a year. Recently I tried using the Saramonic microphone and could not figure out what caused the noise. So every time I would hit record, I always pushed hard on the cynova adapter and pushed hard on the microphone to make sure all connections were on securely. I just filmed the Rose Parade on January 2nd this year using the Saramonic microphone. All clips came out sounding good with no clicking sounds. I never turned off the camera so your video helped me understand what caused the previous issues. So no cold starts. Thank you for your testing and time. I filmed the complete Rose Parade and it's on my channel at Big Dave's Family Adventures.

These testers have generic connectors. The No.1 issue is making the appropriate adapters/cables for connection. That would be an informative video, not watching led lights..🤣🤣

Thank you for this video, I upgraded from a Drift Ghost X camera to a DJI Osmos Action, The Drift had fantastic audio but no stabilization, I mainly do Motorcycle videos. I really like the DJI picture quality, but my problem is the volume when editing is MAXED out when I go to edit. I am using the same Drift microphone inside my helmet and right now I am experimenting with different foam and dead cat mic covers with little difference. I am to the point now of trying different mic's. The Drift camera had internal microphone sensitivity settings which eliminated the max volume and clipping. Yes I have tried my editing software with poor results. I don't use the front screen so I may try the Saramonic and see how that is. Have you had and max volume and/or clipping issues? My las trip video I basically had to fill in with music because at over 35 or 40 mph the noise was overwhelming. I've been riding motorcycle as long as you brother. Thank you for the video.

I just tested a controller that was only making the lights go round once like that. So I connected the phase wires to a motor held in a vice, and it worked fine - kept running continuously 👍. I have also had those lights going round continuously with different controllers, but it seems like if they go round at least once, the controller is good.

There are hundreds of these tester gadgets all over Amazon and Ebay and all the reviews say they are rubbish. If you can't have confidence in the tester, they are not worth buying. I finally took my Chinese eBike to a repair shop and paid an extortionate price to get it fixed. So many of us are beginning to discover the folly of buying a Chinese eBike. Because they will almost certainly go wrong, sooner or later and are an absolute nightmare to get fixed. If buying a Chinese eBike doesn't put you off buying Chinese products... nothing will.

Hi I bought the ebike tester but I'm pretty sure the plugs are completely different from the plugs on my triumph ebike do I need some kind of adapter and where can I get it.

I just switched to the Osmo from the GPH7Black and had the same Saramonic SR-XM1 and have the clicking noise. Had the same isse with the GP and turned off the wifi and it quit. I got the saramonic because it's Omni directional so when you vlog or first person shoot, you don't have to flip the mic around. FYI on those omni's they should point up or down, not aim the end, that's why you are picking up noice from down low on your pc. I also have a rhode video micro I think it's called - small shotgun vlog mic w dead cat and it doesn't do the popping/clicking thing. But, I have to flip that mic around if I flip the camera around, which is a PITA. If you could turn off the wifi, it would quit, but there's no such option. I'm going to pick up that Edutige - using your affiliate link - thanks. PS, I'm the president of the He Man GoPro Haters club. Overpriced POS that they don't stand behind.

My controller has 6 wires. The white one. What would it be used for ? I read that it is a speed sensor or a thermal sensor. Is there any way to know without the tester ?

I bought a controller expecting they would at least tell me which wire is what. So I dont even know what connec tdd s to what or what I should do. Someone said I should get one of these testers. What do you suggest?

I noticed that Saramonic has made a compact clip-on cavalier mic specifically for Osmo Action. Have you tried that out?

I swap out the battery for a new one, I would put the Tx bat to the Rx bat, and if the problem follows it, that will be hte battery. if it does not then its clearly the unit.

most of the good controllers like sabvotons let you adjust all throttle settings,dead zones,start possition,torque or voltage throttle emulation,and throttle ramping, can also set the throttle to work as variable regen adjustment when ebrake is on. putting a pot in the circuit may or maynot work ,or might have strange results. do it in the controller settings if possible,cheers

Is the Boya BY-M100 a good microphone? I noticed it's an omnidirectional, doesn't it get too noisy when using it for let's say vlogging or maybe bike vlogging? Does the pick-up or proximity effect gets better when the mic is facing towards you or it picks the same loudness on all direction regardless of where it is facing?

Hi, bit late to the party, but i'm fairly new to the osmo action having had it over a year but only just started using it for my videos. I use the Saramonic XM1 too and always get the beep and clicking noises. I thought it was just me. Glad I found your video

I had this exact issue with a few of the GoPro's. Was fixed by turning off the WiFi on the camera :) could be worth a try!

Gonna try and go next weekend myself. First time going and looking for a change of scenery from Brown Mountain.

I have them. Treble hook myself multiple times, lose all my favorite lures, bang off docks, lines in trees, the wind, racing by boats, pedal drive issues, birdnesting the baitcaster, bass shaking the hook, forgetting batteries or sd cards, multiple of these happen to me when I go out. I try to push through it but once I left the water after an hour. I am thankful for bluegills in the dog days of summer 🐟
