It's sad that model manufactures do not put the detail in their models like they used to. Look at the bottom of the bed, The Che emblem on the fenders.

At 13, I bought this kit at Ben Franklin, Nacogdoches, TX. I covered the seats with cloth, added brake lines, and spark plug wires. I won 1st place in the 1979 WalMart model contest! (The model was destroyed by my little brother after I went into the Navy )

That looks great Zippi. I painted my first model with my airbrush. It came out pretty nice, no runs. I used Tamiya acrylic paint and mixed it 2 to 1. As I was spraying I was thinking I might not have to mix the Tamiya paint. Your spray booth looks like mine. TOGUSH brand. Have a great day brother.

I have the same model truck kit.but it's going on the back burner .for next year 2025 build.im working on 15 other. kit's in front ove it.or could be a winter project.i need money & testers spray paints.but I have 5 other semi models in front ove it.

Great first build. The airbrush is a trial and error affair. A few helps! I spray craft Acrylics ( Walmart, or Hobby Lobby ). I mix it 50/50 with common floor polish ( its acrylic also!). This along with 3000 grit sanding. Lightly sand the bair body, lightly prime sand again, light coats of paint ( around 6 coats ). Lightly water sand the paint. Lastly... the floor polish sprays stright from the bottle! Do around 6 light coats of the clear. After a week lightly buff with tooth paste being carful around sharp edges. Then pollish with good paste polish. Last a good spray on polish. Youll be able to read a a letter in the shinny finish. Practice!!!! Plastic spoons are great for practice or to see base coat effects on candy. Lighter, or darker bases changes candy colors drastically. Holp this helps your Airbrush experience.

I love this body style and you really rocked it. The color is amazing and I love the wheels you went with. I like that you build the way YOU like. I’ve built on and off for 40+ years and I got so caught up in trying to make the model right for other people’s standards that I forgot about what makes me happy with model building. I took a 6 year break and have now returned just for the fun of building and satisfying my own style. Your builds are great and are what modeling is all about. Thank you.

Well, I was looking for a great donor car for my Johan 1970 442, and this kit sincerely has the go ahead nod. However, ( in hopes that this criticism reaches the manufacturer) More extra parts, but the front suspension still doesn't turn!? Do model builders even work for this company!?

I had this kit years ago and it came with white wall tires an 2 drag slicksand other racing options

I have the first edition of that kit. Doors hood trunk all open. This kit looks like she has much nicer tires and a solid body.

Using this method on am AMT 57 Chevy would make a good looking gasser. Thanks for sharing!

I'm thinking AMT makes a few Gasser Model kits that the parts might work good with The wagon model kit in the Video , Kits : AMT "Rat Packer" Chevy II Model Kit 1/25 Scale and the : AMT 1965 Chevy II Nova AWB Twister 1/25 Scale , Would be a nice Gasser Wagon .

I have had this kit, in the box, still in the plastic for about 15 years. Today I opened it and will start the build. So excited I finally feel confident enough in my building skills to do it right.
