Roy, I built this kit in the late 70's. I remember the paint I used was some touch-up paint (lacquer) for my Dad's 67 Chrysler Newport. I had an accident with the car when I was 17 in 1976. I did bodywork to fix it. That was the paint I bought for the repair. I didn't use the paint after realizing it wasn't a good match. Paid a local bodyman $65 to repaint the car. It had a full vinyl top so it was an easy paint job for him. I do still have that model. It's a silver/blue metallic w/white coves and soft top. I thought the box art was the black/red version you showed. I really enjoyed building it. Might have to find another one someday. I haven't thought about that kit in probably 30 years. I'm that old! As always, I enjoy your Channels immensely. You remind me of my son, also born in 82' also with a reddish goatee and on the large size. He's 6'5". Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
