The same way the United States has Andrew Jackson who was single handedly responsible for the genocide of the most native Americans in North America or Winston Churchill for the Genocide of the Native Indians in India. US history is more propaganda than German history in terms of people killed by weapons of mass destruction.

I was talking to a friend of mine recently about nightmare roundabouts here in NJ, and there's one I know of that she actually recognized JUST by description. The hilariously thing is it looks a LOT like the one you showed. It's the Livingstone Circle on Eisenhower Parkway and Route 10, where the Eisenhower Parkway just barrels right through the circle. However, there's a THIRD road that intersects it just to add more chaos to it. And actually there is one traffic circle that I know was ADDED in NJ in the last 10 or so years, oddly enough. It's in Bayonne at the exit of the NJ Turnpike. It's *supposed* to sort out traffic coming off the turnpike into turning onto 52nd St and Avenue E, while also sorting out which cars heading to the Turnpike are going to the Turnpike EAST and the Turnpike WEST. The circle actually has TWO entrances but FOUR exits and I'm still surprised it works.

The same questions that many in NYC are asking with so much of Office Space is empty. The most important issue is the lack of plumbing for water and waste that weren't built into these Office Complex where there are few restroom per floor. Where when you convert these Office Spaces, you have add plumbing along with think about how you expect the residence to cook, so maybe add gas lines. Then add that with many of these building need extensive wiring to bring the Electrical Systems up to par of Apartment Complex. This is why lot of business when they buy already built on property to move their business into. Many will choose to tear down what is there, then rebuild to suit their needs.

I must (ironically) laugh... While your country is underregulated. Mine (Germany) is overregulated. For example: A kitchen schould at least have 18 electronic sockets (DIN-Standards) to have a certain standard. My kitchen is about 6 m² - I can't use that many! I don't need them! Next to the standards (about 3.500) there are 20.000 regulations for construction. That results to higher prices, less people who can afford housing and less buildings... We are in a crisis for housing. In my area a new flat (just a flat!) costs about 300.000 € more than a "used" one - at least. DIN-Standarts are made by a association in whitch (oh who would have thought) have more people from different industries sitting in than any other interest groups. To crappy housing: Another thing I'd like to criticize is the German "Reihenhaus" - a waste of space (the use of space in that house itself is sh**), ugly and overpriced!

That is one impressively put together and important video, Evan. I like the way you can tell the hard hitting bit as a rhyming story. I will remember that technique. Writing from Japan, that suffers from similar problems of political corruption, I don't even know what the minimum is, but 15m2 "flats" are normal here, and 37m2 is definitely in the spacious bracket. And since the pandemic, we should all know the importance of ventilation and natural light. I had a flat that was under a metre from the next door neighbour's newly built all-black cladded wall, so I know what that feels like.

I think it's a bit insane how much the school system has changed in Scotland compared to someone who is probably a decade or two older than me. I also find it insane how two students got five As in their highers (or was it advanced) made it into the news. Nowadays even the youngers years in secandary school aim quite high for grades. With all the influence of social media I believe students try to keep their options open by doing good in school, picking up extracurriculars and picking a wide range of subjects. My year just recently completed our S3 exams (just practice to help us understand what our exams will be like in S4) and my media teacher stated that our year has had the highest scores ever and we had even surpassed the S4s above us. After S4 I know multiple of my peers have decided to take on apprenticeships as they realise they aren't very smart school-wise. I honestly think Scotland has one of the best school systems out there. Me comparing from what I hear of English, American and some Asain schools. Even most of my teachers are incredible and their passion for their subjects really shine through. Teachers pay attention to every student and are always supportive and encouraging students to talk to them about what they're struggling with in the topic even after class and school hours. They also really emphasize the fact that grades in school aren't everything. They teach us effective learning and studying methods. These teachers are incredible, just all this on top of the fact it doesn't pay that much and it is such a difficult job. Also, now in Scotland we are only required to pick 5 subjects in S3 and a minimum of 3 subjects for highers and advanced highers (most people continue with 5 subjects). However, PSE, RE and PE are subjects required for every year (I'm pretty sure). This is the current: school shedule for the schools in my area: Monday + Tuesday + Wesnesday + Thursday + Friday - 08:55 = Period One 09:45 = Period Two 10:35 = Interval 10:50 = Period Three 11:40 = Period Four 12:30 = Lunch Break (lunch clubs and study support available) 13:15 = Period Five 14:05 = Period Six 14:55 = Period Seven 15:45 = Home Time Friday - 08:55 = Period One 09:45 = Period Two 10:35 = Interval 10:50 = Period Three 11:40 = Period Four 12:30 = Home Time or extracurricular activities (mostly sports) Some unimportant classes are even switched out for small group thing for pupils who teachers and staff notice may struggle with social interaction or mental health. I hate all things patriotic (apart from Captain America), however, I truly feel blessed and very grateful to experience education in Scotland.

1:32 I definetly get the point, although a lot of weather-related aspects are water. Clouds? Water. Snow? Water. In general, water molecules are intertwined with weather, I do believe fahrenheit is lacking in that area. From the previous video though, Fahrenheit is definetly great for body temperature and probably cooking. Edit: I heard further in the video, and I did love the point of how easy it is to communicate. I feel like using both at once could actually be a good solution.

Time after time, history has shown us that regulations drastically increase the cost of housing. Yes, some regulations are needed for safety, but you don't get to complain about both not enough regulations AND unaffordable housing. The lack of housing is due to increased regulations. The high cost of housing is due to the regulations making new housing less affordable. Commercial to residential conversions is not a problem, it is a problem if not done well. If you want to make housing better, make minimum safety standards and give renters and buyers more power in the contracts, allowing them to break leases or even withhold rent or get rent reimbursements for material issues. If the renters were able to get rent reimbursement for say, failing a fire inspection, the landlords would make sure they get the building up to code. Same is true for missing amenities such as AC, or public spaces.
