Studying nursing in 2023 in England means to accumulate a debt of approx £70 k, £28k the course and the rest is loan for surviving 3 years Meanwhile the student must complete 2300 hours unpaid placements, day, night, weekend shifts. 2300 hours when student works effectively as Band 3, doing everything from bed side care to medication (supervised), all sorts of forms and clinical notes. 2300 hours x 11.65£/hr is nearly 27k, slavery work for NHS. No, thank you

It's not a good paid job you slave around patients working with hormonal women and going home with no energy drained emotionally and you gotta work night shifts this is extremely bad for your body and you will have bad sleep during daylight 😅no thank you

Nursing...dont bother! 30% of newly qualified nurses give it up within 3 years When i trained they paid for your training. Now you are expected to get into massive debt. The only thing you will get out of nursing is debt and neuroses. Don't expect any quality of life cos all the time you are off duty and at home will be spent doing compulsory online training. Retired high dependency/theatre nurse 35 years.

I completed an accelerated master's programme in nursing. My course was 2 years. Even with good time management, it was the most demanding and stressful experience of my life. Im unsure if stress levels are lower in undergrad course. How enjoyable my placement was depended on the ward’s culture, the staff and my mentors. Some mentors ignored me and were very mean. Everyone has different experiences but I do not think that anyone should enter the nursing field with the expectation that it will be fun and easy.

I start Adult nursing in a few weeks and I am bricking ittt... feel sooo nervous but hearing your side of things has made me feel at ease. Fingers crosssedd im so scareddd lol. Thankyou❤

Hey I’m thinking of doing nursing but Idkk if it would be the best for me. As I’ve heared that many nursing students drop out whne going on placements which I’m scared about as I don’t wanna pursue soemthing which isn’t for me. Do nurses have to provide day to day care needs for patients as I’ve seen many student nurses drop out due to what they experienced.

There are a lot of placements but nhs pays minimum £5k grant to all students on chartered nurse courses, and more for certain other courses/situations.. basically half tuition fees. Also, don’t do the course if it doesn’t work for you

Love your family friends and watch your back in nursing. Keep the Irish and UK legal systems separate as they're designed to be. Never trust a regulatory lawyer from the UK. Trust me ✝️✝️

could you explain the accommodation a little more? Like what are the options for first year/second year? Do you need to take a bus to the university or is it viable to walk? Same thing for nightclubs. shops, gym etc, can I walk back to my accommodation?
