    thank you claire, southampton is my back up choice and i wasn’t crazy keen on it but after watching your video it made me a lot less worried about missing out on my first choice

    could you explain the accommodation a little more? Like what are the options for first year/second year? Do you need to take a bus to the university or is it viable to walk? Same thing for nightclubs. shops, gym etc, can I walk back to my accommodation?

      Hi Juan, the social life is great here there is lots of bars and clubs. There is also gyms attached to the university and solo gyms, so whichever you prefer:)

    Hi! What’s the connection like between the Winchester School of Art campus and the rest of the university of Southampton, do you see many people from the Winchester campus/are they included in the ‘university of Southampton’ vibe?

      I only know that there is a shuttle bus from Highfield campus to Winchester campus, not very frequent, but free

      ooh well done, that sounds very interesting. The general hospital southampton has a library where the medical books are kept and it is about 40 mins walk from highfield campus ( the main uni campus). its only a 15 min cycle from the hospital to the main campus which i would highly recommend.     I went to an open day today. I really liked it and could see myself going, but I want to study English and I’ve not seen anyone tell be about the English department. I’m local so it’s a convenient option, but I’m also considering Exeter. I’m worried I’ll feel isolated because the humanities campus is separate.

      Molly Brown I was supposed to be working at the open day today and yesterday! Did you attend any English talks? I have friends who do English and they really enjoy it. Lots of courses are in avenue campus so I hope you won’t feel isolated, best of luck with your decision xx

      Claire Quinn - Nursing Secrets yeah I did. That’s great thank you for the advice. How do you find the proximity between accommodation and the campus. Apparently the cheapest is quite far away. What has your experience been with both accommodation and social aspect relating to living in the town.

    Hello Claire excellent video thanks for all the info. When it comes to everyday studying how much time do you spend? Is there any available time for clubbing, sports and meeting with friends on a daily basis or there’s time only on weekends. Also does the city have any life past 11pm on weekdays?

      Spiraras Danopoulos thank you so much for your feedback:) it depends if it’s exam season or not, I spend about 5 hours a week actively studying although my course is 50% practical which includes placement:) there is time to meet friends whenever you want depends what your timetable is like, what course are you doing? :))

      Claire Quinn - Nursing Secrets okay thanks a lot! I have an offer for electrical and electronic engineering. I was just curious about the workload. I will probably have more studying cause we don’t have any placements but it sounds reasonable if I have 2-2:30 hours a day studying.

      Spiraras Danopoulos no problem at all, ohh yes I know a lot of people doing engineering :)) they all work quite hard and long hours but still have plenty of time to party and meet friends, I hope this helps :))

      hi Ci Ji, the main thing with the interview process as cliche as its sounds is to be yourself and try and keep calm. As far as I remember the english exam was pretty ok, people found the maths exam harder I would recommend going over basic maths for it. Other than that be yourself remember why you want to do nursing and show your passion. Im sure youll do great, let me know if you have any other questions xx

      David Rodriguez hey David, thanks so much for watching, there is pros and cons to both accomadations. I loved glen Eyre cause it was so close to uni and a great atmosphere. Mayflower is in the city centre and underneath a really nice gym. You’ll have to get buses everywhere if you go to mayflower but with the free bus pass that shouldn’t be a problem.

    Well done to anyone to anyone who has managed to get through any course at Southampton Uni. My experience of a post graduate course is that the staff are unsupportive, they are more concerned with their own needs ..the student drop out is huge...try somewhere else Plymouth is good or Cardiff... anywhere is better.
