Sell that man!

This Rickenbacker 12 string sounds nothing like a typical Rickenbacker 330/12. Something very odd going on here. I can see that both pickups are selected. But the sound coming out of this thing just sounds plain wrong for it to be a Rickenbacker 12. There is chime but I can't hear any jangle. I can produce almost the identical sound using a Fender Stratocaster and a Boss CE-3 Sterero chorus pedal. If I didn't know better, I would think you had overdubbed the soundtrack of this video with a different guitar. Compare the sound of this guitar with the hundreds of other Rickenbacker 12 videos here on youtube. Sounds nothing like any of them.

I tried one of these in a shop yesterday. A beautiful relic from’66. It felt great and played really well. I prefer the Gibson bass styling to Fender’s long scale dimensions, not so much sound-wise, but from a playing point of view.

They are really nice guitars.

I own the same, in candy apple red. Previously owned by a gentleman in the Texas music scene for decades. Road worn, rashed, dings , etc. It was upgraded with Duncan hot rails ,The Best playing Strat i own!.

Just got this a few weeks ago. Magnificent. I had a G2622 with the Broad Trons and it was a nice alternative to the ES-335. But in this ES-175 version, they sound incredible. And the fit and finish on the Village Amber is excellent. Tremendous value for a jazz box for $500. The Gretsch Thin U neck is really comfortable and the frets were smooth and comfortable.

How does it compare to a real 335?

i have a 1994 sa-450 model..these things are way to under rated.as soon as people find these they will sky rocket.$$$$

Am I correct in saying that the general quality of both the Streamliner and Electromatic series has noticeably improved in the last few years? I bought a G2622 P90 recently and it feels markedly better than my first G2622T.
