As a tennis player I'd say this is a love triangle film rather than a tennis film. They could have used another individual sport in tennis's place and the movie would have worked.

I saw this movie on HBO 1983 when pay per view TV was uncensored. There was a nipple piercing scene. It was the sofa scene where Niki said to Max "Want to try a few things..?" Very next scene Max needle pierced her nipple through and through on closeup with a drop of blood and all. There was no "sex" involved but the inference was unquestionably obvious. The whole movie was provocative, but that scene was on the pinnacle edge. I have seen the film many times since and have never seen that scene again. When I saw your review I hoped I would have my answer. Maybe you could help me find the answer? I'm wondering if there is a directors cut somewhere of the original. I wish I could have the opportunity to see it again UNCENSORED.

There is a lot you can get out of this film that doesn't require saying it explicitly to the audience; you have to observe and think through Bruce's character arc. I like it when filmmakers don't assume I'm an idiot and need to spell everything out for me like I'm 5. I loved that Pattinson's Batman is basically a "Year 2" Batman who has the fighting techniques, the gadgets, the detective skills...the groundwork is there. But he's still not quite figured out why he's doing the whole Batman thing or how he reconciles being both Bruce and Batman. He basically sees Bruce as the kid who died with his parents and his only persona is that of Batman. But he has to slowly regain his childhood innocence and humanity so that the anger he vents on his enemies doesn't just consume him completely.

Walking out of the theater felt like stepping off a roller coaster for this one

One of the most moronic takes I've seen on this movie. If your a beta simp that loves zendaya just say it. Stop dick riding an unknown director about a terribly directed/written/acted/paced/emotional movie. time to grow up.

I hope this movie does give Gen-Z it's sexual awakening or re-awakening, Lord knows they need it.

I hate the way she treated her husband through all of this. Like some cuck fool. Fantastic film! But think about if the gender roles were reversed. A man has an emotional affair of sorts with a childhood best friend while his wife sits there like a fool. We’d say he was a monster.

I thought the use of music was kind of horrendous. And the cinematagraphy near the end was laughable. Looked like something from Space Jam lol. Best thing about the movie was the acting IMO. Couldn’t disagree more about the editing

I have watched this movie already. It's a great movie. They are all amazing. But I have a question ? Is it really Sendaya who's on the top of Josh & Mike ? And is it really her kissing this two guys ? I can't really imagine if it's her.

The editing and the music really made this move so much more intriguing that it would have been. I think the vague intentions of the characters really keep you on the edge of the seat because they all had blurred morals. I was actually super impressed with this movie it was so fun to watch! Altho I think the nudity parts didn’t really add to the story lol

Great video ! I didn't understand the movie at all , i thought it would follow a liniar storytelling way, so i just watched some random scenes without understanding anything, but now that i've known that the structure and the meaning are different i will certaintely apprreciate it more.

I never hated the husband once. He was very mature and handled that really well. 95% of men wouldn't have been able to do what he did. I was routing fro the husband and her to be together but also I wanted the old friends to be happy while seeing each other and find closer. And I think in the end they did

What hooked me was at the beginning of the film when the Doctor noted that "these plants know how to communicate" (the natural order) while we humans muck up (the natural order) with our failures to communicate and so on, culminating (as shown throughout in the film) with the horrors of war and the doctor noting the "banality" of it all. Grand Budapest Hotel is his best for me

I watched it without having seen the first movie or read the books. I just watched a summary video of the first movie. And yet I loved this movie so much. We got to know the characters and the complexity of their world, the way Paul changed and grew into the Fremen's eyes. I left the cinema feeling impressed, amazed and wanting to have more of that world. I'll be reading the books soon

I had chills when Arthur and Hae Sung met for the first time. It's fascinating that the scene was the first time the actors ever met.

When I first read about this movie there was an emphasis by the critic that Nora was being pulled towards embracing a Korean partner vs her American husband. I didn't like that premise. It sounded reductive. I was glad to see it was much more than that. I thought the directing was superb. So many of Song's compositions were stunning. She is a true artist, all her senses are alive. Cannot wait to see more from her. That said I was not overcome by the story as the hype would suggest. I liked it. It was interesting and Teo was heartbreaking but the visual aspects were the real winner for me. Not the storyline. It was not like Aftersun which I feel did live up to expectation. JMO

I’m such a Chris Bale fan, that for a long time I refused to watch the following Batmans (especially Affleck). But I finally watched The Batman and Pattinson surprised me positively. However, I believe a direct comparison between the Dark Knight and The Batman is not possible, as the respective tones are too far apart. Nolan’s version (the glossy FX version, featuring a spoiled playboy Bruce Wayne) and Reeve’s version (noir af, no bs, realistic, featuring a damaged but much more relatable Bruce Wayne) are not from the same universe, imo. And even though I was impressed with the crudeness of Reeve’s version, and I recognize Nolan’s could have been done even better, I found the Dark Knight overall more entertaining as a super hero.

Similar things could be said about David Lynch as well.

Saying AI has no artistic merit because it isn't sentient is to miss the forest for the trees. It's like saying 'Asteroid City' has no artistic merit because it similarly lacks sentience. After all, what is 'Asteroid City' but a series of images being played at twenty four frames a second, and an audio track, cold and dispassionate, without mind or soul? A mere inanimate artifact? We understand this is silly, because we recognise that the people who made 'Asteroid City' poured their mind and soul and unconscious into it, and that it resonates with our mind and our soul and our unconscious. Do you honestly believe the same isn't true of ChatGPT, which has been created by putting innumerable human works of creation into a great big metaphorical blender, only to see what comes out? An experiment, to discover not only what is produced from the sum total of all of that aggregated noise, but what we individually may draw out of it, as though we're tapping into the collective unconscious itself, or at least some kind of simulation of it, that will not go off in its own direction (death of the author and all that)? That's exactly how I see AI. A great big art project. It's amazing, and if you don't see that yet, then that's no surprise. After all, you published your review of Asteroid City after only one viewing. Take a closer look.
