    To me, Victor Vroom's Expectancy Theory is the most important model of human motivation. SO, here is a compilation of my Vroom video, with two other videos about extensions to the model. I particularly think that Lawler added an important something extra to the model. Thank you for watching. Please support the channel and our free content. I confess that I had not heard of Weick. It seems he is the originator of ideas of mindfulness, in the context of organizational theory, and sense-making. Hi, first of all; Thank you for making this (and other) video's, they are great and I really like the way you present them. I have read a bit into the subject and what I found is that different websites/people use the 7factors in different order. I now wonder if there is a set -more sensible/efficient- order of 'working' on the model. What i mean is, is there a good/bad way to do it, or is it a matter of good/better? Cheerio!

    • @ManagementCourses
      @ManagementCourses Před měsícem

      I don't think there is a correct order. The way I approach these things is to look for an order that makes sense to me and allows me to explain as clearly as possible. Other writers/speakers may see the world differently (or simply arrive at a different order that makes sense). There are 7! (5,040) sequences of these 7 items. No one is going to try out all of them!

    Can a passive communicator and an aggressive communicator co exist?

    • @ManagementCourses
      @ManagementCourses Před měsícem

      First - and most importantly - it's not about being a passive communicator or an aggressive communicator. We are all both - and passive too. Rather, we can adopt a passive communication style or an aggressive communication style at different times. This means we can flip from one syle to another as our emotional state and level of self-control vary thorough an interaction. And so can the person we are interacting with.

      Yes and no. I am taking a bit of a break from creating videos for this channel. So, to keep the content coming (and meet a different need), I am creating compilations. Basically, I am editing together 4 to 6 videos on a connected theme. Some people like the longer form learning packages. It takes me an hour to make one of these, compared to a day for each original video that goes into it. I am still actively creating new content weekly, for my other channel, @onlinepmcourses. But there, I am releasing compilations as an extra video, once every feew weeks (one out on this Sunday)
