📚 RECOMMENDED READING
📖 The Leadership Challenge geni.us/nyQ3
There are a vast number of Leadership books - perhaps more than on any other management-related topic. And there is also a huge range represented in different lists of the best. This no-doubt reflects the different contexts for leadership.
So, any recommended reading list of leadership books must be particularly subjective. I have chosen those that made me think, and which are of particular value to managerial leaders: not sportspeople, military leaders, or CEOs. In no particular order:

We studied Kouzes and Posner quite a bit at American Public University.
I thought they offered steady and practical advice.
Kouzes is 79 and Posner is 75 these days.
I agree - theirs is a research-based approach, yet they write and simplify as well as the best of the more journalistic business authors, like Surowiecki.
Thanks for the great summary. Any chance you have a podcast?
Thank you.
No, I don't have a podcast.

Do you see a connection between the teachings of Kouzes and Posner versus the teachings of Goleman and Boyatzis?
Yes, but I have not considered the comparison carefully. All I can see at the moment are superficial overlaps. What do you have in mind?
