Love to attend if you do one here in Texas. 70+ y/o white belt. :)
My definition of discipline that I teach my son's is that discipline is doing something you don't want to do. I don't like the term self-love. But I love you.
I currently do judo (just started 2 months ago). I want to compete , but I do want to get to a level where I’m pretty decent before I compete. I may not compete until at least green or blue belt to be honest.
“Things are heading in the right direction”, “I’m in a lot more pain” 🙈.
I always laugh when I think back to my white and blue belt self. I thought I knew a lot, but realized at purple belt there is way more that I don’t know. Now, at brown belt I find myself excited to learn more and make those little tweaks that can change everything.
Can you recommend any resources of how to figure out dosage, and what I might need to measure out everything correctly? Been dealing with a torn rotator cuff that doesn’t seem to be getting better. I have no chemistry background, and no clue how to figure this out but I’m interested in doing it as soon as possible 🙏
Try some acupuncture guys. Especially find someone who can do 'Motor Point' acupuncture, works great for lots of injuries. I'm in New Zealand so probably no help to most of you, but look up practitioners in your area 👍
Thank you for yet another awesome clip Professor Eillis... Can you provide the brand of peptides that you are using and the way you purchased them? I'm sure you did extensive research regarding this, and although they seem pretty easy to obtain ( they are available via Amazon, which seems kinda crazy ) I would of course want to go through a reputable source. Thanks again Professor, your time and input would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽🤙🏽
Just go on TRT
No human research. I'm not sure I'd say they are safe. We really don't know. Dont get me wrong, I'm all for it, just not sure I'd proclaim the safety.
Some cancers THRIVE on peptides, specifically tumors. Generally younger people are less at risk to cancer (not immune!) , its usually associated with older age groups and its that group would be inclined to try peptides to recover faster. Nothing wrong with peptides just something to be aware of.
I don't understand how something banned by the FDA is "available" online..... what am I missing.
They didn't make it 100% illegal. They just issued a vague threat to compounding pharmacies to stop making some peptides on the basis of some vague risk they can't even quantify. It feels like they are just running interference for big pharma since peptides are exploding in public interest. A lot of online sources are choosing to ignore them.
@@TheArtofSkill This is one hundred percent accurate. The FDA is funded by Big Pharma. Peptides are just short chain amino acids. They are not "drugs". Many of the peptides "banned" by the FDA have been around for a long time and have numerous studies. Most medical professionals and scientists use an online peer reviewed data base called PubMed. I suggest an informed consumer NOT rely on the internet as a source of reliable information. Here is a link to PubMed. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/
Self defense is staying aware. You see what's going on, you can decide how to deal with it. Otherwise, you're dealing with blind chance. Second line of defense is your ability to communicate. I keep my hands above my waist and I look right at the person, and I ask what they want. Not in a mean way or anything, but just to let them know they've got my full attention. Third and most important, mentality. If I think there's a chance something is going to go down, I want to know what the terrain is, who my allies are and where, what I'm going to do if this guy does this or that, etc. I've worked at San Quentin for more than 21 years now, and I've never gotten into any altercation, but I've deescalated a couple, and I've seen the aftermath of a couple, and I've seen things from a distance as well. I was medical support for 8 years inside, so not really what you would call front-line, but there was always a chance of something happening. Before that I was a warehouse supervisor. I've done pre-parole stuff now for about 4 years. My thing is I don't argue with inmates. I just tell them what is going to happen and recommend they do stuff this way. Beyond that, it's up to them. This is what I did, this is why, and if you don't like it you can appeal or maybe talk to your parole agent when you're outside. I've only trained BJJ for 2.5 years and I just got my first stripe on blue belt, so I don't really know a whole lot - I just know a little better about how to fake stuff. Dabbled in a couple other martial arts either formally or co-workers just showing me some tricks. I'd say what you get from training is just knowing how some stuff works and recognizing a position you're in and how to potentially advance from that. BJJ keeps you humble...it's a lot easier to BS yourself in some other disciplines. You can kick over your head or break several boards or even lift quite a bit of weight, you think you're competent until you roll with people over and over again who can and do make you tap even though pretty much all are smaller and not as strong. I'm older than some, but I'm still 6'4" and muscular. I was down to just under 300# but that's a work in progress as well; some days I'm heavier than others.
hahahahaha the first 7 seconds. wow
So, there is a podcast on line with a number one guy in US when it comes to peptides . Even though general claim is that bpc-157 is systemic ( you can inject anyplace ) that fellow recommended injecting it as close to the injury site as possible . At 59 and a blue belt I have been dealing with variety of injuries ( bulging disks , pinched nerves , meniscus tears etc ) and in my opinion it does make a difference if you inject it close to the injury site .
Yes, injecting as close to the site of injury is preferred. Especially if it's something like lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow). For something like a tendon, ligament, or cartilage that is inside a joint (shoulder or knee) it is more effective if it is injected intra-articulary (inside the joint similar to a steroid injection). I've done this on my patients with great success. Especially if combined with PRP.
I tried to do a bit of research and I could not find the minimum. Any one can help with dose protocol on any of both peptides Any one has find these (daily dose and how long for)? Thanks.
Thanks for sharing. Same injury here and after 6 months, it's still there
I think that last point you made was what I needed to hear. Thank you for your words.
Awesome video, very accurate information
my input, BPC 157 did nothing to help my injuries, from shoulder, to tendonitis, to knee issues. Used it more than 3 times over the year, but no impact or effect. Peptides that did work? Hexarelin, Tesamorelin. Anavar and Nadrolone on the anabolic side for healing.
Nice 👍
Great stuff, Professor 🙏 Thank you
I did stem cell here in my knees via a series of injections to the knees, and my coach actually found a program in Tijuana that does an IV program. He is happy with the treatment. IMO if the FDA will not "approve" of it, it probably works and would cut into the $$ racket here in the states.
I’m dealing with a medial complex meniscus tear in my knee and researched this quite a bit . It seems that due to the complexity of the knee and variety of factors like age , presence of generative damage vs acute damage , physical condition , meds we use , there is no single solution . Just had PRP on my knee and felt way better within days to do point I pushed too hard during physical therapy and now I’m back to square one . Rest is essential it seems .
Ive used it for shoulder injury. It works.
This is great!!!! Thank you!
Ozempic isn’t being sold as a weight loss drug. It’s a medication for Diabetes that is being misused/abused as a weight loss drug because of its side effects by people. Interesting video, I had no idea what peptides were before this!
38 yo white belt here. I sustained two severe sprains with significant debris on the sternoclavicular and acromioclavicular joints (arthropathy). Recovery has been too slow with frequent relapses and severe pain. Moreover, I am unable to practice BJJ, do any DIY at home, or even play properly with my son. So, I started taking BPC 157 a month ago. Unfortunately, it has had no effect. I will probably have cortisone injections soon.
Rather than cortisone try prp .
Thank you!
Professor, I hope you heal smoothly. Excellent information, as always. I appreciate how you mention the foundation of fitness and recovery… Proper nutrition, adequate hydration, high-quality sleep, appropriate training load followed by appropriate recovery, leading to appropriate adaptation. Intelligent use of the wolverine protocol is clinically effective for recovery. I have been cycling BPC 157 and TB 500 on and off as part of my BJJ training dynamic for about a year now. I am in my late 50s, and don’t recover like I used to. I appreciate you mentioning that these two peptides have angiogenic and anabolic signaling properties. The probability of benign masses throughout the body increase exponentially with age. Neoplastic cells, whether benign, or malignant, crave blood flow and anabolic stimulation. Perhaps a good discussion with one’s primary care doctor regarding personal history of cancer, and family medical history is very important, as you mentioned. Also, perhaps routine labs at least once a year to monitor laboratory biomarkers would be prudent. Intelligent use of these peptides, with minimum effective dose and duration as needed, as you mentioned, is clinically effective, and prudent for older BJJ students. Thank you for posting this excellent video. I learned a lot. Nikolas
Hello sir, where is a good source I can get these peptides from that are safe to use?
@@jknorr8093 Hello Sir, Here is my advice, based on your question. If you are dipping your toes into peptides for the first time, the best all-around peptide if you can afford only one is BPC-157. BPC-157 is clinically effective in oral form, if you don’t want to deal with the dynamic of injecting. One source that I trust for oral BPC 157 and thymosin beta 4 (TB 500) is Integrative Peptides online. Regarding injectables, two sites that I trust are Core Peptides and Peptide Sciences. Before ordering, always search for an online coupon to enter in the cart and receive a discount. I have zero financial interest in any of the companies that I just mentioned. Good luck.

I have used BPC-157 & TB-500 injectable peptides and oral versions in pill form. I was using them to help accelerate the healing process in from an undiagnosed shoulder injury as well as a knee injury (torn meniscus). Overall taking these peptides greatly improved my healing time. I would definitely recommend them. Also my overall fitness improved (strength & conditioning).
Just curious, what was your protocol with the pills? Did you take them together with injections? I'm having meniscus problems too and taking bcp in pills, but also have the injectable version (without TB500 though) that I haven't really used yet because injections are a lot of hasle ;).
What about Deca?
Peptides and cbd helped get rid of my shoulder pain that lasted for 10 months...
What kind of peptides and where do you get them
@@MatthewMessmer-me5ji I can't remember what they were called, but it was 2 of them and I got them from my TRT clinic... Yes I do TRT, I'm 50...

No, that's steroids.
I'm a retired LEO, and I've been doing Sport BJJ for 13 yrs, and during the years of working the beat, Sport BJJ saved my butt more than once! and now that I'm on my retirement, I still practicing and trust Sport BJJ.
carnivore diet, skip the injectables
Na im good
Where do you get it from?
He can't say... seriously
BPC157+TB500 = 🎉
I’ve used BPC-157 for almost 5 years. It’s very safe and can be used daily for extended periods of time. Contrary to what some may say, just inject it sub q anywhere and it will direct your body’s healing mechanisms to anywhere that it needs.
Studies have shown it can accelerate tumour growth.
@@NatNay-cu3uvwait what? The peptide has been developed by lab rats. 😂
Which studies specifically?
@@reinhardtgallowitz5344Please cite your sources.
@@TheArtofSkillthere are no studies showing that.
I did this after getting terrible tennis elbow that would not heal for months. I did the same protocol for 90 days and recovered nearly completely. That was 4 years ago and i still feel great
There's a lot of Truth to what this guy is saying because if you look at the videos online where BJJ is actually used it looks like it's just sport jujitsu and MMA. A guy shoots in on the guy's legs take him down gets on top. THEN TAKES THE GUY'S BACK AND CHOKES HIM.
I'm on board. As a 50+ BJJ guy, I need all the help I can get.
This was really interesting.
Greetings from Argentina!!
I’d like to try it. I currently live in Guatemala. I have a shoulder and hip tweak…
I'd imagine living in Guatemala would be enough troubles for most people

Just be patient and let it heal naturally.
why?
At 50 you don't heal properly.
Yes been a whole year letting your body fall out of shape so that you have to work even harder to get it back into shape not to mention go a year with not being in great health or getting to enjoy the thing you love like jujitsu for a whole year take your favorite thing and take it away for a year yeah you're right Just be patient😂😂
Do what you want for yourself. Don't tell others how to recover from injury. They can do what works best for them
Yeh. No music 👍🏻
Nice 👍
thanks
I got my purple belt 7 years ago and, whereas I don't doubt it does take competency, I lack, to properly assess from the outside, however, there has to be some who do get promoted erroneously.
