My least favorite thing in comic fight scenes is when the big payoff happens and then it immediately begins narrating followed by a time skip. Whedon's X-Men did it. Secret Invasion did it. Wolverine did it when he chopped Sabretooth's head off. I hate it.

The Cassandra Cain "Batgirl" run, written by Kelly Puckett and illustrated by Damion Scott, had amazing fight scenes. Which is fitting, considering she's considered the best hand-to-hand fighter in the dc universe. Highly recommend the series.

I always thought the face and the “hands” of the MUTO took inspiration from Gigan. With that being said, I’d make Gigan be the bridge that gaps Godzilla and Pacific Rim, my head canon is that The MUTO head in castle bravo, the destroyed body of Mechagodzilla end up getting teleported into the world of the Precursors “somehow” and they splice Kaiju DNA with the head and body to create Gigan.

My pitch for bringing Gigan into the Monsterverse is that have Apex(or some other human organization) decide that instead of making mechs to fight the Titans, they decide to control the Titans. With that they manage to capture a MUTO and install cybernetics to control and kill when ready. The MUTO head and claw like legs made me think of Gigans design.

For the end of the monsterverse id want to see godzilla have to get all the earth titans and kong and his army to fight a war against the final villain and their army

If I was to do anything with Aliens - I would make Gigan an emissary, a scout if you will, of Space Godzilla. Otherwise, I see Gigan being another Apex Cyborg attempt, using less chaotic and powerful entities from Hollow Earth or other Titans that could be used instead of Ghidora.

When it comes to fights and their impact, for me, the difference is this: Comics: I see the fight happening. Manga: I see and feel the fight happening.

This is more to do with the industry than the comics themselves but one of the biggest differences between the two is orginal characters. The comic industry is dominated by marvel/DC and they recycle the same characters for the most part. This limits what the authors can do with their story. I also like having one continuous story like manga. Instead of having a lot of mostly unrelated short stories. Invincible is an example of a comic doing this and it benefits greatly from it in my opinion.

It is a MEME, one image is from kengan asura and the other is from Kengan Omega, at that point, Koga (the little guy kicking) is quite weak while the other image is from the character Kanoh Agito who was the second strongest character. I just wanted to explain this because it seems strange to use that image when there are so many other good panel to compare that are REAL

"Learn from each other" As an asian that's hilarious, manga fight scene are league above stiff comic, even in color the page you can learn better from Manhwa instead of comic. This like compare rent a girlfriend to any romance manga and said "they can learn from each other"

I say bring in Gigan and bring back Ghidorah. Have Ghidorah and Gigan fight Goji and Kong. Introduce the Seatopians and Megalon. Have a Kong movie, introduce the Seatopians be an enemy of the Iwi people. Heck have Megalon and his own army of Insect-like Kaiju to challenge Kong and his army of apes.

My idea for gigan in the monsterverse: (this is continuing with my idea for Destroyah in the monsterverse) the Xilians were a race of Aliens who believed were gods and were considered gods by some civilizations. The Xilians had a love for genetic modification, they always tried to create "new lifeforms" ghidorah was one of them. But godzilla was the guard they couldn't get through to conquer Earth, Gigan was their anti-godzilla concept. Gigan was mixed with DNA of many alien and earth animals (including Dimetrodon, Spinosaurus, Crocodiles, Birds, and other kaiju). However he was shelved after the xilians knew the couldn't get through godzilla. But after Destroyah killed him, They sent Gigan in. They gave Gigan a whole arsonal of weapons including, incisors, chainsaws, axes, and Radiation Converters. His mission on Earth was to kill the new alpha Kong, now that Godzilla was dead. His incisors are covered by a compound that could reflect breath attacks, like reflecting a laser off a mirror. So when he fought Shimo, he took her down easy. Gigan eventually steals the skull of ghidorah so the Xilians could make another one and leaves.

Im old enough to remember when people complained if a comics had too much action art and few dialogs, Comics dind had the luxury to develop cinematic action like Manga.
