Fix a Stripped Oil Drain Without Splitting Cases! WR/YZ250F (Time Sert)
I stripped out the oil drain bolt hole on my 2015 WR250F!! This is a task that you should proceed with great caution because your oil drain hole does not have much material around the diameter!
The best option here is to use a timesert (superior to the heli-coil method).
This will work with any dirt bike with aluminum cases!
Thanks for watching and let me know if you have questions!

Replacing the lock cylinders on my SN95 mustang because the previous owner replaced the ignition cylinder but not the door cylinders… so if my car battery or fob battery dies I’m out of luck. $20 kit available on Rockauto but also on EBay, Amazon, etc. These cylinders were used in a good amount of Ford cars and trucks from 1995-2011 so it will be similar if you have an F150, expedition, etc.

    • @jpsgarage
      @jpsgarage Před měsícem

      It connects to a wire in the front of the wiring harness. You might be able to just tape it off but I would definitely reccomend connecting it since it will signal that gas light when you are low. Is there a reason you don’t want to use yours?

    • @jpsgarage
      @jpsgarage Před 7 měsíci

      What’s up dude! The bike has around 50-55 hours on it, I got it with about 40. In terms of maintenance, I try to change the oil and filter after every ride but definitely after every race. These things only hold about a quart of oil so the oil gets dark after very little time. I am about to do the valves in a few weeks to prepare for next season (video incoming). I love the WR I genuinely think they’re one of the better bikes for the price. One comment I have is that with any sort of oversized bar pad or hand guards, it is going to be very hard to see the computer with the hour meter, speedometer, check engine light, gas light, etc. I am going to try to fabricate a bracket to bring the location of the computer higher towards the rider, perhaps I’ll make a video of that. Overall, it’s a great bike. You’ll love it!

    A friend sold me his '74 at approx. 3,544 miles in 1977. It had no evidence of going down, immaculate. I kept it for two years and had more fun, on the trail and street, with my girlfriend and now wife than any bike before or after it. Maintenance only until destroying the taillight. It's last three months, I put knobby tires on, an off-road small tail-light, had the engine overhauled to over 400 cc and noticed 'how' improved off-road riding could be on this patient hill-climbing bike. The Tenth Anniversary Limited Edition Honda 750 fell into my lap that ended riding all together, but the Honda's in my past were so incredibly tough and dependable. Nice to hear and see one

They were like overweight trials bikes. It was more fun to see how slow they would climb than to see how high they would jump. Took all three to the Little Sahara in western Oklahoma many times but on the first trip ours were the only bikes that could make it to the top of the big dunes. Not even the guys with highly modified 2 cycle bikes with paddle tires could make it. Of the bikes I've had, this one was the most fun. I'm jealous.
