Hello my friends! If you are new here - i'm not mechanist, i've never worked with milling machine, it is my first project in metal so take this video as report from building process not as how to do this. Thank you. Hello my friends! Some of you still don't know wtf i'm doing since the last two videos. I got a little hint - this plane was designed by Olivier Sparks (miss your stuff). To be more precise - Simon Grace (Size Workshop on Instagram) have the same older plane and a nice story below one of his posts. Olivier was based on the photos of Simon's plane but he changed the wedge mortise to upside "T". ...

Hello my friends! It's time to take care about the stabilized blanks which i've made in the previous episode. At this step i'm gonna use something new in the workshop - milling machine type 7045. Don't ask me about the brand, i've paid full price and it's not sponsored video so i don't see any reason to reveal it. I'm newbee in that kind of work, but the results are promising. Hello my friends! It's time to start another project. It will be kind of rare plane with stainless steel sole - try to guess what kind :) For the body i decided to use spalted beech wood. As you probably know spalted beech is a little bit weaker than healty wood so i'm gonna make stabilization with impresin90 plus blue and green stains - that's the theme of todays episode. Hello my friends! In todays episode i'm gonna take care of this lovely laminated Ward iron. There is still about 20mm of hard steel plate so it still can serve. It is my second try to use it. I really love your boxwood cellar, i was so luckily to get some really big pieces of Boxwood from my Nighbor. I will make and restore the one and other plane too so it will become handy. P.S. did you ever heard about cherry laurel? Its a east european hardwood and i did some tests with it in comparision of boxwood and i think its more hard, dense and durable than boxwood. And its a real joy to work with.
