I've had my hands in wood working for as long as I can remember but have never found the perfect outlet to express my creativity ...that's until now!
Many techniques I use are unconventional and sometimes dangerous. Please follow intended directions and uses for tools you may decide to use.
I hope you enjoy!

Woodturning - Not Your Everyday French Press
I’ve made plenty of coffee cups but never a coffee maker. So that’s what this weeks project turned into! Thanks for tuning in.
I used 2 species of wood: African rosewood for the body, lid and knob, then white oak dowel for the handle and attachment piece, as well as pewter for the metal inlay. I intended on using sterling silver for the inlay, however, with a 1600+ degree F melting point it proved too hot for the test piece of wood and I found myself with a mini bonfire in the shop. Pewter melts at around 500 degrees F.
I also salvaged my wife’s daily coffee press promising to make her a better one. I hope that was achieved.

Wood Carving - A Jack ‘O Lantern Pumpkin!
zhlédnutí 7KPřed 2 lety
It’s pumpkin season! So I decided to carve a Jack o lantern pumpkin out of wood. How to, you might ask? All you need is a chainsaw and a grinder! (The saw mill was really only for the viewer) Yes, I burned through 3 batteries just clearing out the guts. It could have been just 1 battery if the wood was dry enough to break out the square segments after checker-boarding the inside of the pumpkin....
Woodturning - CBD Flower into a Pipe
zhlédnutí 14KPřed 2 lety
What can I say? Woodturning a pipe actually turned out pretty cool! What makes it even better is that the entire project was coated with a food grade epoxy. On top of that, the bowl piece is insulated by the glass tube it's set in. It was intentional for the glass tube to come in contact with the raw wood only so it wouldn't heat up any epoxy. Epoxy can definitely be tricky to work with when tr...

Woodturning - A LAVA Lamp
zhlédnutí 15KPřed 2 lety
I've gotta say that woodturning a lava lamp ended up being a pretty cool project. It’s something a little different than what I’m used to doing. The most difficult part was coming up with an epoxy-style lava instead of the traditional liquid lava lamp. I also had the option of making only the wooden top and base then using the glass bottle and heat bulb from an actual lava lamp.. but that sound...
Woodturning - Bamboo (From Tropical Storm Fred)

www.etsy.com/shop/PrestonMillerProject First, I'd like to thank Tropical Storm Fred for leaving me some beach treasures while not ripping the roof off of my house! I knew I wanted to do a woodturning project with the bamboo I found, I just wasn't sure which approach to take.. So I decided to take advantage of it's natural architecture and turn it into a water vessel! I've cut bamboo similar to ...
Woodturning - A SOLID Mahogany Desk Fan
zhlédnutí 44KPřed 2 lety
Mahogany is a pleasure to work with but when it comes to woodworking and woodturning with such delicate pieces, all you can think to yourself is ‘steady hands’. That was the moto for the entirety of this how to/DIY video. I have to pat myself on the back because I didn’t have a single unplanned crack or break in the wood. To keep it short, it all went perfectly. I have to say that’s the first t...

Woodturning - A Red Cedar Coffee Mug With Epoxy Knot
I would NOT drink from that cup unless it had a stainless steel cup insert.
I bet that smelled amazing!
I would use this strictly for drinking box wine out of lol
Where did you go?
Do a raw sirloin bowl!
The best part of watching this whole project was wondering if the aroma of fresh coffee bean permeated the atmosphere 😂😂😂...i love coffee ☕️
There was actual wood in the woodturning video 😯
I’m curious how long this mug held-up.
Поебень какая-то......
your etsy shop has no items or history?? wrong link in description?
I know it’s been 2 years… but can you make me one of these? I’ll pay before you start!
Just watching this is giving me a pick-me-up.
I think my morning coffee would taste sooo much better if I was drinking out of this cup ❤
What a waste of coffee
Nicely done!
Heavy-duty latte w/o sweetness
Hey any advice on how to seal it? I’m making on and I don’t know what to seal it with so that the hot coffee doesn’t react with the resin and the beans
This is like one of those 2000s memes "Yo, I heard you like coffee so I made you a coffee mug from coffee so you can have coffee with your coffee" Yes please. I'll take one
Seriously, can I pay you to make me one of these? I really want one and I just looked all over Etsy for one.
Some shit!
Fun fact, that coffee is pretty good
Um, why the fuck would you buy ANY cup let alone one that is so ridiculously expensive with a wooden top and bottom that can't even be cleaned.....wood is porous, it will hold bacteria. I hate it, honestly
I would have smoothed out the top and bottom more.
Why not just put the beans into round container to start?
the yummy smell must have been great.
Looked like a pint of Guinness to me
❤❤❤
What kind of wood was it?
That had to be the best smelling project you've ever done.
Where can I buy one
Epoxy seems so healthy.
Eating from that bowl immediately just does not seem like a good idea with all those newly applied chemicals I would give that a few weeks to thoroughly dry first. All of that glue and wax...you cannot immediately eat from that bowl!
Holy moly dude, that was something else and you did it with minimal power tools. 👍👍👏
Great job and very different way to aproch it from others videos i see. Well done congratulations
what a nice project. did you have to seal the inside with anything or is it fully dried and just natural? really love it
now this is a lovely use of epoxy, did you seal the inside of the wood with epoxy too or did you leave it natural? has it absorbed any odors since making it?
Incredible
just saw this. absolutely beautiful.
Отвратительно 🤣🤣🤣
Would be much easier without the watch 😂
It clearly shows the epoxy is for boats. But not everyone cares about what they put in their mouths.
Ok now redo this with the knowledge you've learned. Bet it's gonna be dope
Bet this job smells good
Nothing like drinking a hot cup of coffee out of an epoxy mug
The foot stop did it for me
I noticed you leave your Apple watch on while you work. sturdy.
This has got to be one of my top OSHA cringe videos. When you get comfortable with your tools, sometimes you forget how powerful they really are. You had to stop the wood turning equipment with your foot! While hanging on to a high revolution piece of power equipment. Then you sand the nub off without any brace and with a freaking powered sander!
Cool you should sell these!
Ya idk about this one lol epoxy is toxic super glue is toxic coffee beans aren’t “sealed” permanently it looks cool but not great for use
One of those beautiful ideas in the head that doesn’t actualise well in reality 😂😂
