There is a fan-translation of this version where you can understand in English because some of people don’t understand in Japanese. So can you re-record it but in fan-translation? (& the same goes for GBC DKL3 as well as the Color Hack of DKL & DKL2)

The whole X turning maverick plot point really would've been strong had the story actually used the real X as the villain of one of the Zero games instead of it just being an imperfect copy

I remember well my time on IBM PC of my Dad where my family and friends and i played it for hours on end with the original Arkanoid. The Game was really hard (for us kids) and one day one of my friends managed to meet Doh on level 30 or so. That was it absolute highlight.

The level at about 16:35 where you have to make a lot of vines to appear to progress (and vines can no go horizontal!) is a great design

How do you manage to beat the matching cards game most of the time? Do you use a technique or just luck?

I never really figured out what actual advantage Mickey offers. The in-game description say he can handle multiple weapons at the same time, but the game doesn't give you the option to fire multiple special weapons at the same time. After giving it a look, he doesn't get a capacity bonus for special weapons, either. I know in the Arcade version, his Vulcan was one power level higher than stated (i.e. he fired a Level 2 shot, at a stated Level 1).

I bought Gradius III and IV over twenty years ago and still haven't completed either of them. Excellent display of skill!

I don't have this version but I have the Master system version. You have to make a code in the 8-bit version to play it on difficult. I had finished it on difficult but I wouldn't do it again, it was really rote.
