Well, the channel hit a million subs. So we’re putting together some special episodes for the occasion. I am going to share some personal episodes and interviews over the next month. So I’ve done nearly 700 interviews since I started Professor of Rock and whenever I bump into someone who watches the channel I get the same question time and again. What is my favorite interview? Well, It’s ACTUALLY a very easy answer. I’ve shared hundreds of origin stories that have come out of the interviews I’ve done and I’ve shared some of my story over the last several years, but today I’m going to give you my origin story… I’m going to take you back to the 80s when I grew up…
For anyone who has seen even a handful of episodes, you know that my Dad was the one who raised me on rock and roll… Well, a few years before he passed away I had the chance to take a camera crew out to the small town in Idaho where I grew up and I got to interview my dad. I also interviewed my wife, my friends, and my grandpa, who’s also passed away. Today I share my origin story of how I started Professor of Rock and I take you back to Blackfoot Idaho where it all started.. I also have some artists and bands in this episode as well. I hope you enjoy it. As we got into this special episode I want to thank my sponsor Zenni Eyewear. Make sure to click on our info button up here or in the description below to get up to 80% off regular retail prices. Let’s take a trip to my small town.
Thanks for watching. What do think of Blackfoot Idaho and my experiences growing up in the 80s? What are your experiences growing up where you live? Share your stories in the comments below.

Great video recap and how it got started. I can relate to the song lyrics as I had a 9th grade English teacher that said we are going to spend the next few weeks studying poetry - the class all groaned. Then she said the poetry would be song lyrics. The first song was a Beatles song. That was the first time I connected music and song lyrics to poetry. That approach made learning fun. I’m glad you are able to share all the knowledge you have learned over the years about the songs and artists. Congratulations on the 1 million subscribers.

Cinderella Rockefeller by Esther & Abi Ofarim was actually the worst song ever. What made it even worse was it was an earworm. Catchy even though you hated it - you would hear it popping up in your head all the time ! It should have come with a health warning ! Yoko yes terrible but you can't count much of Yoko's stuff as music . Though I did give ''Who Can See The Wind" a couple of spins...😂

Ann I took the song as the woman who otherwise had all she wants and needs with the Man she still is so in love with, but she never been able fill her longing to have a baby. He husband is unable to give her a child. As she's riding along with this soaking wet hitchhiker she thinks to herself, ya know he's kinda cute and his are like fire blue. If I was Abby to have a child wouldn't it be awesome to have eye like his? If you let your mind wander on that long enough could easily end up in a room as they did . There's still a certain amount of human nature there. It didn't seem as though she was out for that purpose at the time just ended up happening that way. Whether or not it was right or wrong isn't the point but now she has the child she'd always long for. If I've completely misinterpreted your song I'm sorry. It was purely unintentional. But that's what I got out of your song. Something good can come out of life even if we didn't exactly do it the way we were supposed to be . 😅 We have to receive a plastic I was situation that wasn't ideal to begin with even when we mess up that doesn't mean we need to hold it against ourselves for simple infraction in the past today's a new day so choose to do good for this day for open Thank you for your fine work on the song it means a lot to me. Stevo

So glad you have such nice video with your parents and grandparents, friends, etc it was a nice cheesy video, loved it. Congratulations again on a million subs. Small town life was great, I grew up in a very small town and lived rural out of town, I would sneak off and get a whooping for not telling anyone I was going somewhere. By the time I was 10 I was working all over for farmers, by 14 I was climbing on things to fix the roof or antennae. Led to traveling places for work by 16 I would never have seen otherwise and I got to listen to the radio or music all day long. I got to travel to other countries to work on copper roofs and high steep roofs, but it gave me a chance to see concerts I would never have seen. You made music history your life, music can bring so many people together, you have a great skill. I hope you soon break 2 million subs.
