I have a 2000 Harley Davidson road king and it runs good when it’s starts but it has trouble starting i will have to start it a few times with me giving it slight throttle it will turn on… You think possible fuel pump and it is fuel injected with the magneti Marelli
I love all your videos on Yamahas! one question on this video at the 12:03 mark, you state that the rear cylinder gets the bigger main jet. Are you sure, because on partzilla carb break down they have the front cylinder with the 115 main jet, and the rear cylinder with the 112.5 main jet. So who is right? or did I misunderstand something........ Thank you in Advance...
EXCELLENT video, I am going to clean my 2000 Roadstar Silverado carb because of this video
Informative video!
Great info! I have the same issue on my 98 flhrci. I've changed every part ya mentioned to no avail.. but I'm checking that crankshaft sensor plug ASAP. Thx for posting the vid🤙🏼😎
great vid thank you
To anyone watching. PLEASE INVEST IN A MOTORCYCLE JACK. i
Good vid. I bought a 20 year old FI bike last year with 47,000 miles on it. The guy I bought it from was the original owner and he told me the fuel filter had never been replaced. I got the stuff to replace it and all the lines along with a billet pressure regulator housing from Trask. The housing wasn't cheap but now I should never have worry about getting stuck someplace because of a cracked regulator housing. This is my first FI Harley and I've also got everything necessary to do a carb conversion on it should computer ever take a dump.
Does any body know of where to get a good carb rebuild kit for this. Need all diaphragms atleast jets would be a good to have if it came with it
Bike was in storage for 6 years. Wouldn’t idle or run. I watched this video probably 5 times before attempting and did exactly as you did here including removing the aluminum plugs. Removed parts and cleaned as you described. Bike fired up and ran beautifully. In addition changed all fluids, oil/filter, coolant, brake fluid front and back. Thank you for this video! You did a great job of explaining.
very good video.....ty
Best vid I've seen on this. Thank you.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to post it.
Awesome video!! Thank you for the tutorial!
Nice video brother... 👏🏽👏🏽 I Hope this works with my sports bike... lol
I literally cannot get the carb on bro
Good shit man! Every time I would do something like this when I was younger I would never hear the end of stupid comments about how it’s supposed to be an all that shit. Whereas, just like you did here, the product looks better,it’s closer to the ground for better handling and quite a few other benefits. Sorry about the twenty year comment bro. Awesome work! The bike looks great and I guarantee that it is an easier ride just by being closer to the road and lower center. Keep ‘‘em coming brother!
Very thorough and extensively detailed. Seriously appreciate your help with all of the detailed informational videos you post bro. Keep it up and I will keep recommending your content to everyone who is looking to get shit done by themselves without having to pay hundreds of dollars to someone else.
I bought a bike with them already installed and I’m looking for how to put them to the battery. I might have to take it back to the dealer cause they unhooked the lights. I don’t see the battery hook ups hanging anywhere
Its common people's mistake not changing the fluid, not keeping eye on fluid level. not checking where air bubble getting inside. Thats it i knew it. Problem with statement is that always compare average people mind with Great minds. Its irrelevant. by the way. Nice video, helpfull for average people devloping for great mind.🗿🗿
Excellent vid. Clear and to the point. Many thanks
I have a sneaky feeling that this is my issue. I already replaced the stator so with your guidance it should go smooth. Great video and thank you.
I’m doing this step by step but wanted to ask, when you said clean everything with water. did you also clean the item you dipped halfway the carb cleaner with water?
@@Gottaglo6211 yes... whatever have the carb cleaner you rinse with water. Thanks for your interest and please subscribe to help me out
@@DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs thank you man just finished and this video made it super easy. Definitely subscribing.
Whag oil filter does this take?
I can't believe how easy yours came apart. I just destroyed the float needle sleeve with a screw extractor on a bike I just picked up. I can't thank you enough for this video!!
Wonderful job thank you for your time
When you’re saying about the marks, isn’t there proper marks that the manufacturer made? Instead of having to draw a mark on the flywheel etc. I just rebuilt my drz400 and everything has proper timing marks so no drawing required.
Super
Nice video, very informative, and easy to follow what you’re doing..Kinda weird how some of it is backwards tho…
Thank you for the advice on inspecting chain tensioners. I at least have the confidence on inspecting them. Not sure about replacing them myself? 2001 road king police 88ci. 10k for miles.
Thanks man! you really helped alot!!
I would lower the back a little
Hey buddy! I like you content! I am waiting for your next video!! 👍👍
Thank you that is awesome!
Hey I have 1995 1200 sportster and the spray nozzle isn't spraying gas in the carb therefore making my bike run way lean..and the slide diaphragm isn't sliding like it should, would I need to rebuild it?

What steps are u showing to replace it you just took the cover off and showed what it looks like inside
Great vid brother. I'm planning to take the shocks off of my 750 Ace and switch to struts. I know it will be a stiffer ride, but I love the look it gives.
Thanks bro
Thank you brother! I just bought my first , FIRST EVER first, 250 - it’s a 91 EX2 or whatever - carburetor was in pieces apparently guy who owned it was gonna do exactly what you did but got to clown dickin around and just bought a whole new bike - a bigger one apparently- but I got a good deal- I paid 500 for it and I bought a whole new assembly on eBay should be here Wednesday - I am super stoked and watching you , you gave me the confidence I need to get this running! I don’t know shit about bikes other than my mustang sure attracts them! I’ve got an old 88 fox body and 2015 gt premium - seems like every time I’d go out I’d get a bike revvin it up at me so I’m eager to see what the entice was or why they do that , I know the 250 isn’t a street racer and to be honest I have too much to live for so racing ain’t happening - just will be cool to feel the breeze and ride - Really got cool vibes from ya - hope to meet people like you on the road when I get my wings to me! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback... I'm glad I inspired you and if you have any questions just feel free to ask... hope you will subscribe to help me out. Good luck with the carburetor job!
terrible video
Nice job on the video. Very informative and well done. Thank you.
TY!
Nice video wish i would have known about the air box removal other then that i got my done somebody else in the comments said sure box but i muscled mine
Thank you Sir for the information 👌
DUH! How did I not think of using the Jiffy Stand! Just make sure you don't have a kickstand like most bikes do, a Harley's Jiffy Stand locks into place when rolled forward, so it's not going anywhere!
I mixed up the jets from the front and rear. How can I sort out which is which ?
Still helpful in 2024
How do you take the bottom bolt off?
