Du Cinema is a channel dedicated to the art of filmmaking! I share video-essays about popular culture and a wide variety of movies đżđŹ.
I love to discuss broad topics and talk about all kinds of movies. I firmly believe that learning more about cinema can give you so much more enjoyment from movies and will make you appreciate the art a little bit more.
But, what does 'Du Cinema' mean? Well, it's inspired by the famous and well respected French movie magazines titled Cahiers Du Cinema, meaning 'notebooks on cinema'. It was founded in the 1950's and included essays of influential filmmakers and film critics. The literal translation is "from cinema", the place where it all starts đ„.

Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat is probably the most controversial movie made in the 21st century. But at the same time, itâs also considered one of the best comedies. This man mastered the prank far before youtube pranks became popular. Because what makes Borat so unique is that it features real people, who have no idea he is playing a character. He goes extremely far with his humour, often violating social boundaries and taboos. But his jokes went so far that it resulted in tons of lawsuits and the movie getting banned in Kazakhstan. Borat took satire to a whole new level, thatâs why Iâm gonna show you why there will never be another movie like Borat.

Christopher Nolan is famous for shooting his movies on the grand 70mm Imax format. Since the beginning of his career he has shot every single movie on analog film instead of digital. EUPHORIA: The Art of Stealing Explained
Which Papillon movie did you use for the list, the 1973 one, or the 2018 one? I want to add it to my list but don't know which to watch. Great list!! And fun fact, I'm a photographer that loves to use dutch angle in my photography xD I never knew the real backstory behind the shot, I just like the effect.
Such a brilliant, troubled mind.
Has anyone here had a dream where you just see black nothingness for like, 5 seconds and wake up ours later as if you had a normal dream? I sure did. By the way im not on my own account.
genuinely one of the funniest movies of all time
cure for depression
His Brother was "It" whatever that is, a Great Actor who could have gone on to improve and enhance our understanding of ourselves with his unique talent. But Joachin, not so much: he plays the same unstable, self-obsessed character in every role, himself. Not my 'Cup Of Tea.'
This man is a genius.
He looks like Mr Satan
demoishen is such a good movie and it visualizes the feeling of loss very well. It helped me to get over a person wich was very dear to me. Also his acting in that movie was damn perfect and realistic
Film vs digital is a taste. I think Oppenheimer was a master piece and film just has that natural texture to it.
What about the film The Standoff at Sparrow Creek or Green Room?
Act the hell outta a script and it frequently leads to...jealousy.
personally enjoyed ali g indahouse more
It wasn't unique though,. Tom Green beat him to it with the Tom Green Show. He had alter egos too and used to prank random people in the street.
This video was amazing. I used to have so many lucid dreams that I felt I had a double life and that became a big part of how I became a creative person. I felt this video was so well written that I wish I could have seen this sooner. Instant subscription to you, sir.
can't say im very proud of the moment when i shed a tear while you were saying that Joaquin named his son River
3:55 guala guala
I worked on Hotel Rwanda with Joaquin. Lovely guy. Well done Joaquin. â€
sick video, dude! well done. Wasn't an Avatar fan before, now I am
You canât be seriously thinking he used an actual atomic bomb lmao. In what world would anyone allow a director to use a radioactive weapon of mass destruction for a goddamn biopic?
can thiz ztupid video ztop getting recomended to me omfg
This movie is racist, especially to muslims. Shame to see so much hate on this beautiful and peaceful religion.
you'll live mate
đđ± for Joaquin Phoenix. check out Dominion. and thanks for mentioning his troubles f.e. in Gladiator with products of animal origin. beyond beeing a very good actor, he continues to represent his values and ethics and makes no excuses. stop animal slavery and make this world a better place for everyone. greetings!
I want him to star in another psychological thriller so bad
That 911 operator! Dick!! Watching people die in front of you. Especially if itâs your loved ones
Definitely think itâs less literally me, but more literally what I want to be. We donât wanna be murders though.
there wont be a borat 3, but there could entirely be another satirical movie about another evil empire and its corrupt lackeys
I appreciate sashas work but his best is a little known web series called the spy which is soo good i have watched it at least 6 times
I watched Oppenheimer in 70mm imax when I saw it a second time. It is neat to watch it in this format because of the analog irregularities in the film. With the film projection, the white spaces flickered though and was really distracting to me. I enjoyed the digital format better for the smoother display.
Much respect for showing all the brands some love.
plz help me im trying to find a movie and the only scene i remember is that the main character keeps entering fake places and hes trying to escape and the scene is that he enters a fake world where its raining and lots of people have umbrellas and he realizes that the world is fake PLEASE HELP ME FIND ITT đđđđ

Ok?
I donât really dream of crazy spaces like that BUT does anyone else dream of familiar places that played a big part in your life such as previous schools or houses/apartments? I always feel that sometimes I have dreams in the same building but in different rooms. Never changes
Very nice
Cancel culture is the death of society and now we can't have hilarious gems like Borat ......
The for thismovie proves that cancel culture is crap and that people are not as innocent as they seem ....
yall trippin i dont see any of this in my dreams
Love the usage of the Interstellar theme, where McConaughey was the lead role
Any movie with him in, I'm there
this video truley is a masterpiece.
maurice i-icant movit movit any more
i understand people r angry at borat for whatever kinda reason but at the end it's just all a joke and he doesn't mean to potray countries like that. i don't find that borat went 2 far since it's at the end all just one big joke and nothing said abt the countries and shi is real.
